NESCO VS-12 Vacuum Sealer Operation It's Not Rocket Science
It's not complicated, but also not obvious, and the manufacturer instructions are dismal at best. Sorry.. forgot to tell you why to cut the bags a bit long.. the material is quite heavy-duty and can be washed and re-used. Cutting it a bit long allows you to have enough material left over once cutting it open,

Thank you…you provided the best instructions!! You are absolutely correct; the manual and other videos weren’t clear at all.
Thank you so much!! We were ready to send our unit back thinking that it did not work properly. We have never had a vacuum sealer and your instructions were SPOT ON!!! thank you again!!!!
Thank you. The instructions are not clear but your video is. ❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you - for all the reasons everyone else has already said. Mine might still be sitting unused if not for your extremely helpful video.
Thanks just got mine was able to use immediately because of your video!
Best video!!! and the other videos weren't clear at all!!
Thanks a lot for the video, the instructions Nesco provided were incredibly unhelpful. This was just what I was looking for!
This is a terrific video. I just bought this model on Amazon, but I couldn’t make sense of the instructions. Thanks you for this!
Thanks Dusty. Appreciate the video.
Thanks. This was helpful for storing leftover thanksgiving turkey.
The red button is to control the vacuum if you want less.
Thank you.😀
NO ONE sells the canister attachment for these sealers. NOT even Nesco. It seems that the FoodSaver ones don't work with it. Does anyone know of how to use the canister port on these?
THANK YOU! The instructions are very vague. I am going crazy sealing!
Great video!!! I just bought mine and this video really helps!
Thank you so much! I just bought one and your video was extremely helpful ❤ have a great day! New subscriber ❤️
That was super helpful!!! Thank you!!
Note to self: get a tripod or something to hold the phone so I have both hands.

Thank You ‼️‼️
You wait until it clicks b4 opening. It releases then open. The count down doesnt always mean its done.
Not to be a buzz kill but I bought a vacuum sealer on Amazon for $14 and it works as good if not better than my food saver... something to consider when looking

Which one?
When storing it, you can just put the handle down so it doesn''t close by mistake.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Extremely helpful, sir!
Did you purchase accessory to seal jars? I can only find Foodsaver not sure its compatible with Nesco.

On Amazon, look up the following and you'll find it (and a review specifically says it works with this model): "FoodSaver FA2000 Handheld Sealer Attachment, 2.40 x 4.00 x 4.00 inches, Clear"

@@dudleydooright Good to know, thx !
I have the VS-02 model. A little different. Mine has the heating element in the cover. Just got it on ebay new(?) but without bags/rolls or instructions. Does this model have a round rubber strip like a dowel running along it in the cover, opposite to what I have? Seems kind of odd. Probably how it's suposed to work though? Thanks for a great "how to" video, btw.

@@dustytravels9458 Got it figgered out. Mine's just different. Have to seal it a second time if you want a double seal. Not difficult. The rubber seal on mine is proper. Thing is, I just got this and I thought the seal button was going bad as soon as I got the hang of it. Had to push it several times to get the button to work. Turns out it just needs time to cool between uses for a few seconds. Probably said that in the instructions if I had them. Might be useful info for anyone else happening by who thinks their button is faulty. Thanks for the reply, sir.
