With Super Mario All Stars. The value was quite impressive for 1993. As you get all three classic NES Mario platformers with improved graphics and sound. And this marked the International debut of The Lost Levels. I also like how they added a save feature. Which is convenient for Super Mario Bros 3. As the original game didn’t have a save feature. They even reissued it with Super Mario World as a bonus game in later revisions.

Yeah, its weird that smb 3 didn’t have a save feature considering they had the technology to do it for a long time, and the game is pretty long.

That’s the power of the extra memory mapper chips they started putting in the games. The original SMB was pretty much the most you could squeeze out of a standard NES without adding extra hardware in the cartridges. Developers had to start adding extra hardware in the carts themselves to assist the NES and enable it to do things it had never been designed to do.

@@kayaozen5743 I think super Mario 64 was the only one upgraded in 3D allstars. I tried super Mario 64 on the Nintendo switch online expansion and it’s a little downgraded compared to Super Mario 64 in 3D allstars. Also the Super mario 64 in 3D allstars says it was made in 1997 where as the one in the expansion pack was made in 1996 and seems to be the very first version released.

For the sounds, I like the NES better because it's so classicly retro. As for the graphics, SNES is better. But I love them both, in their own unique way. It's Mario (...and Luigi) time! :)

There are multiple things I prefer about the All-Stars version, even though I understand and can relate to the nature of purism. - The fixing of the world names at the end so they match the Japanese version of the original. - The thunder and lightning in the background of the flying ships which makes playing through them feel a lot more intense. - The much improved music. I realize that 8-bit music is really trendy right now, but SNES music is by far my favorite over any other console music of the 20th Century.

Interesting to hear that stage's theme songs have different tempos. Even starting at the same time, looks like Snes version has a fast pace...

Um jogo realmente incrível, revolucionário em todos os aspectos. Na minha lista encabeça como o melhor jogo que existe, junto de Sonic 2 e Super Street Fighter II.

3 was so well done on the original NES that the changes didn’t make the game feel drastically different on All Stars. I would even go as far as to say that Mario World didn’t beat 3 as far as game play goes. It was a tie.

NES looks more clean and sounds more mature, like classic 80's synth.

This is one of those games that I don't think necessarily needed the facelift, but I'll give credit to the SNES that at least it was a quality visual update throughout.

Não tem como escolher um ou outro, ambas versões tem seus méritos, no quesito retro vence o Nintendinho, já no gráfico o SNES pois é um console mais avançado. Dois clássicos.

Na casa do cogumelo é muito bizarro no Super Snes o Mario foi substituído e o Toad ficou gigantesco perto dele,a trilha sonora do Nes me agrada mais.

I remember being midly disappointed with the all stars ports, in that they didn't take full advantage of the sound chip as much as I would've liked Then I saw the laziness in the recent 3d all stars game and I'm thankful this exists

As far as I am concerned, the SNES remake is absolutely stunning. Absolutely 10/10. But mind me not, I would pick the original anytime if I had to choose between them. Nothing special, just nostalgia.

The feel of the original is abit more responsive imo

Player OCD kicking in at 1:16 - you got the take off trajectory completely wrong and missed all the coins. Violently fidgeting at my desk.

el smb3 de nes innovó el movimiento lateral continuo, tanto en vuelo como en caída, ya que solo se conocía el movimiento pausado como en mario bros usa al inicio cuando caía el personaje deteniendose todo, así cargaba la pantalla la maquina, esos chips especiales en cartucho como el mmc 3 en este titulo ayudaba muchísimo a la consola a mostrar todo lo que se movía en pantalla, me quedo con la versión de nes, es increíble un juego así en esta plataforma, gráficos, jugabilidad, sonido, tantos mundos, no le falta nada, no ah envejecido nada

As duas versões são muito boas. Contudo, o remake pra SNES tirou a impressão de que o jogo é, na verdade, uma peça de teatro, como ocorre propositadamente com o de NES. O fundo dos cenários, algumas sombras propositais que foram removidas entre outros detalhes.

@@joaonitro5149 tá louco! Vc não viveu a época. smb 3 foi revolucionário. A jogabilidade, os mapas, os desafios e puzzles tudo isso foi pioneiro nos games. Sem falar das cores, gráficos novel de dificuldade. Depois dele veio o Super Mario World que é fantástico até hoje.

@@golgo016jk Sim, Mario 3 é foda e os caralho mas não foi ele que salvou a indústria dos jogos, e vamos ser sinceros, ela nem corria perigo. O Crash dos video games só aconteceu no EUA, e quem salvou os jogos lá foi o Mario 1. E também, desafios e puzzles já existiam em jogos. E a dificuldade do Mario 3 é com certeza o ponto mais negativo do jogo, a razão sendo o quanto bipolar ela é. Você passa de uma fase difícil, aí tem uma fácil, aí tem três difíceis, duas fases fáceis... Não é balanceado.

As características gráficas são dispostas com base ao que suporta cada console, dando ao SNES uma melhor configuração. Entretanto, a música no NES apresenta-se, ao menos para mim, a partir de um som geral muito mais intenso, e especificamente um "bass" muito mais vivo.

O estilo de arte no SNES descaracterizou aquele que foi concebido no NES... Se você reparar no NES o cenário te remete a uma peça teatral, assim como é apresentada no título do jogo. Os gráficos são mais simples, o que ajuda o console a reproduzi-los, mas te fazem acreditar que são mesmo peças montadas no fundo, é mais harmônico. Basta olhar nas sombras dos blocos retangulares, por exemplo. Já no SNES eles tentaram transformar todo aquele cenário teatral num mundo 3D, o que fica esquisito... você olha o fundo em parallax com blocos retangulares junto com nuvens, algo que não tem nada a ver com a realidade, ficou como uma fantasia. Seria interessante se a Nintendo tivesse aproveitado a ideia de cenário teatral no SNES pra fazer o remake. Algo como é feito hoje, por exemplo, no jogo Paper Mario. Assim não tiraria a identidade do jogo original.

The nes version not only feels more intimidating but also more intens and faster, the snes feels somewhat slower and lees intense and waaay less intimidating.

A paleta da extrema esquerda é repetida na extrema direita. O céu são vários blocos de paleta verde, mas sem nenhum gráfico. Por isso, os blocos acabam ficando verdes. Isso é uma limitação da PPU, mas que poderia ter sido evitada, como pode ser visto em Kirby's Adventure. Ambos usam o mesmo esquema de tela, mesmo mapper etc. mas você não vê esse tipo de coisa com frequência.

I would say 90 percent of the time I played Mario all stars I would play this game. (I owned the one without super Mario world so I figured if I had that one then it was be like 45 percent Mario 3, 45 percent Mario world). It’s no disrespect to the other 3 games which I think are all great and they’re classics but Mario 3 was and still is in a whole different level.

I like both, but my nostaligic go to the Nes version.

In some was the nes verison looks better i wish it was a 1 to one remake where it expanded on the design of the nes look

But the most important question, is it a remake or a remaster? 😂 . Só zoando VC DECIDE, obrigado pelos vídeos!

Super Mario All-Stars was such a wonderful compilation. But nothing beats playing the original games.

Ive played through both versions and the gba version, and I gotta say the NES version feels the best out of the bunch.

I liked playing SMB 3 on the NES better, but the rest on the SNES better. SNES' SMB3 sound(not sound quality) was just off to me! But, maybe I'm different than tbe other people that grew up playing thesr games..

SNES has the better visuals of course, but the NES has the better sound, the music didn't translate over to the SNES as well as it could've.

Music wise, the SNES is better, but for gameplay sounds I prefer the NES. Weird I know, but certainly interesting because up to this point I didn't know a Mario 3 existed for the SNES.

@@DoomKid they changed things up like the music and swapped the graphics from Super Mario World. Small things that to me didn't improve anything, but then SMB3 on the NES was probably my favorite Mario game ever too.

The SNES version musics sound bad to me....i prefer original NES ver music

While the snes version does have better graphics and cooler sound,but the nes version just feels more intense because of it’s dull colors and dark sheer wich is exspecially compounded in world 8 dark land (wich i do call fire land), also i do prefer those drums in the nes version wich sounds more dynamic and futher amplifies it’s insensity of the game, also the psg sound in the nes version just sounds more wider and dynamic, In the snes version, dark land doesn’t feel or look all that dark and those drums just do feel just tiny, but what i really don’t like is that most instruments and sound effects in the snes version just sounding sooo dry such as mario’s jumps, if nintendo just used sound swapping rather then cutting and stretching all sounds to fit within that 64KB ram, we would,ve a much widter more dynamic sound in the snes version of it,heck even the GBA with it’s infirior soundchip does show much clearer sound in mario 3 despite i don’t like all used instruments of it.

Nintendo released Super Mario All Stars purely because they wanted to give you the version of Super Mario Bros 3 they always intended to release, the other games were just a side piece. They actually considered cancelling it for the NES, because the power wasn't there to deliver their vision, but decided to release it anyway.

I remember renting super mario all stars and hated how all the nes mario games was remakes. I hated the updated graphics.

Graphics aside, both games are essentially identical.

Yeah, the sound is awful compared to say, something like Plok-Beach, Dean Evan's Green lantern and waterworld tracks on the snes, Unused Theme 2 from Flintstones All of the above are on the snes, all made by one person each yet they all sound much fresher and full of vigor and technical complexity than allstars

@@davidhill8565 You meanIn Pipe Land, The king is a Fire Piranha Plant in NES while Yoshi (Maybe Yopappy in a viking helmet) was the king in SNES.

A versão do NES é o teto gráfico do que o aparelho conseguia fazer, enquanto no SNES é um jogo mediano em comparação a outros do console. Dou ponto também pela minha preferência a soundtrack de 8-Bits. E os cenários no original simulavam que o jogo era uma peça de teatro a do Snes perdeu esse charme. Outro ponto que não sei se fica tão evidente só pelo vídeo, mas as físicas são muito diferentes e esse é meu maior problema com a coleção All-Stars. O Mário é muito "escorregadio" no Super Nintendo

NES win.. sound FX an music sounds clear and better on NES.

Cierto, pero aunque sea mejor el de all stars objetivamente, subjetivamente muchos preferirán a la versión de nes por nostalgia o si no lo jugaste en tu tiempo, solo para disfrutar algo que es más sencillo pero purista, como la música vibrante de 8 bits, el que vea más como una obra de teatro y otras más

I am most impressed that Sega Genesis woulda killed SNES if third party developers knew how to use the hardware right. SNES had the better sound chip though... by far.

@@Clay3613 Definitely faster! I am not a fanboy or such but Sega DC woulda held it's own as well if the third party devs coulda made all their games look like first party Sega titles. The only 3rd party game is Soul Calibur that not only keeps par but actually is the best looking game on the system.

Ponto pro Nes. Já no Snes o jogo é mais colorido, os gráficos foram aprimorados, os cenários de fundo são mais detalhados, Luigi tem sprites originais e tem a função de salvar o progresso.
