Got it for christmas with the pmayers guide. Here in Canada we had a department store called Zellers. For some reason it was in the flyer for 34.99 so i got my mom to get my best friend and I a copy. We both got the nintendo power guide as well. I kept at it till i could get orchids 52 hit combo. Playin on ludicrous speed was rough with the AI mashing combo breakers.

@@Sponsie1000 They did. Next console is supposed to be fully backwards compatible, software and hardware wise, with the current switch. All purchases are expected to transfer over especially once Nintendo switched over to a Nintendo online account that isn't tied to a specific console.

@@captainnomekop5056 tough luck for you, I guess… If someone has a Switch, I’d assume they also have a cellphone or computer, and it’s fairly easy to Tun a GBA emulator on either. If you don’t want to do that, then you’re just a snob who think is “morally wrong” to do such a thing. Playing the ROM is the way to go; it’s been up for years, so my guess is: Nintendo dont care about it like they do with their more revenueable IPs.

NAH cigars are better value for money and they are fun unlike NSO which is crap of the highest order. I would have more fun playing chicken on the highway with the traffic. Never played ONE SINGLE GAME since it started and have ZERO intention of doing so in the future. Started crap is crap and will end as crap when Nintendo flushes it down the Toilet and the saddest part? Your basic VIDEO SHOP hired out a better range then this back in the day and was better value for money

No it is not. It is few decades old game less 10mb size. It is not a big deal, but Nintendo is putting these as if it is a big deal and people are eating it.

Damn. Imagine if there was a community made localization project for Mother 3, with localization notes that are freely downloadable by anyone, made by a group that have said they would happily hand over the notes to Nintendo for free if they wanted to make an official localization. Imagine what those notes and a few months could do to your NSO Expansion sales outside of Japan.

Fun Fact for all you Conker fans, Chris Seavor who voiced Conker did the sounds for Spinal in the original Killer Instinct and Killer Instinct 2, Before he left Rare Ltd and David Robert Donatucci took over in the 2013 version of Killer Instinct for Xbox One, PC, And Xbox Series X/S.

The good news is Insomniac confirmed that Conker was the biggest inspiration for Ratchet and Clank.

The Killer Instinct theme really has that best of the 90's feel, on tier with One Must Fall 2097's theme~

We got Killer Instinct while Japan got Mother 3. I’m so stoked for KI though.

I'm so glad the SNES version of Killer Instinct made to Switch. It's probably the first game I've ever played when I was a kid.

Many people have been asking about Mother 3 release in the US. Now they are disappointed that Japan got the game for the SNES online service first. Japan always get the good stuff first before the US.

As happy as I am that SNES Battletoads in Battlemaniacs got announced I wish the original NES Battletoads had also been announced. Oh well, at least I can still play that one on Rare Replay on Xbox.

As much as I love Perfect Dark, it's sadly only in Microsoft's camp. We ain't seein' Agent Dark for a while but I keep hearing revivals.

That rc game is some childhood memory that I never put a name to lol. Used to love K.I., Snake Rattle & Roll, and Battletoads too. Finally some interesting games.

When are we ever going to get some classic Pokemon? You should be able to synch Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokemon with the Stadium games already part of NSO.

Very glad to see more classic Rare games being ported over. I've actually been looking for a way to play Battletoads in Battlemaniacs for a while now (without relying on unofficial emulation) so I'm really glad to see it's on here now, although I don't get why they skipped over the NES Battletoads.

Yeah, I played the heck out of that one. Looking back, a good percentage of games I loved as a kid had music by David Wise. I don't think that's a coincidence.

Killer Instinct Gold is included in Rare Replay. The arcade games are included as a bonus for Killer Instinct Definitive Edition on Xbox One, or available to play on Xbox Game Pass.

My brother loved Battletoads growing up. (He played the original on NES, as well as Battlemaniacs and the one that crossedover with Double Dragon on SNES.) So when I told him about this, he was overjoyed!

For those who are still waiting for DK64, Diddy Kong Racing and Banjo-Tooie, please be patient. Jet Force Gemini also released on NSO+ExP a few months ago and now we have 5 more games from Rare. It's still early for 2024 and there will be more later ahead.

I'm super surprised Cobra Triangle was not here. It would be perfect for the rewind feature.

@@billbolt9458 the super switch has it and the standard one doesn't. Wii will follow later and the super switch exclusive 3rd nso tier is probably $120 a year and doesn't include available remasters. This tier probably drops to $40 a year and removes all dlc and sega genesis nso. The trademark controller leak confirmed the feature so we know it's happening and is coming March 2025.

So now Blast Corps is on the service. Well, all we need from the Rare library are Perfect Dark, Banjo-Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong 64, and especially, most ESPECIALLY Diddy Kong Racing.

Never thought Blast Corps would make it way into Nintendo Switch, that’s cool! Battletoad in Battlemaniacs is another great game specially for coop

Please add more Rareware games we still need Banjo-Tooie, Perfect Dark, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Killer Instinct Gold, Battletoads, Banjo Pilot, Saber Wulf, It's Mr. Pants, Banjo-Kazooie Gruntilda's Revenge, Cobra Triangle, and the Wizards & Warriors games. And there's no reason why Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong 64, and the Donkey Kong Land games haven't been added yet.

We didn't even get Smash 64 and theres Mario Party for online membership and Mario Party Superstars without the online membership unless you want to play online with it

Re-acquire Rare Nintendo and force them to make Banjo 3. And have the final boss be a giant Xbox 360 with Nuts and Bolts installed.

If only I could play Killer Instinct online like the good old days of X-band!

Oh wow Blast Corps, now there's a game I never thought I'd see again. Only rented it once but I remember it being a lot of fun.

I saw that Rare logo and really wanted it to be Banjo Tooie, or DK 64.... I did this to myself...

R.C. Pro-Am was the very first game I got with my NES alongside the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt dual game pak in 1988.

I got so excited for Diddy Kong Racing with the Rareware logo 😢

While I had other (legal) ways of playing most of these games, I did not have a way to play Battletoads in Battlemaniacs so seeing it announced here is music to my ears!

I thought it was PERFECT DARK during the intro and lost my mind 😅

Many new players are about to understand how Killer Instinct (SNES) becomes a 1 player game when a match starts. lol

I'm glad they're still putting games on their Virtual Consoles, but by now we should have massive catalogs for each console, spanning hundreds of games each
