First song that introduced me to dubstep as a young child. My mom would drag me with her to Walmart and I’d always wander over to the headphones section and listen to the music. I put these beats headphones on and this song started playing. I was absolutely mind blown, I’d never heard anything like that in my life. Went home and KZreadd all the lyrics I could remember. This song shaped me into the strange bass head that I am today

I miss the era of dubstep 2009-2013 but to be honest Skrillex ruined the dubstep scene as all the producers started to try and copy him and this is how dubstep these days is more like brostep which is this song's genre.. sad but true :D

This song represents so many memories before influencers, I remember being attached to a wild photography company, we shot a lot of EDM concerts, etc. this was before Instagram. I remember shooting a skrillex set, shit was wild, what made it even better know one was worried about recording or getting a video. You just enjoyed the music and your time.

5alt no it stopped around 2015 when skrillex began to change his style and dj’s like Nero, netsky , bassnecatar, etc began to fall off or change up there paths. Not that this is a bad thing more power to them but sounds and synths began to change towards a more generic you could say sound with more eccentric vocals and a less powerful rhythm than most edm today, mainly because that is what sells it’s popular so why not capitalize on it which is why most Djs and producers have moved in from the sound.

There's always new electronic dance, and before you blow that off as not as cool, I beg you go to a true big name edm event (tomorrowland, chasing summer etc) and immerse yourself (on m and other psychs if that's your thing) and find a new appreciation for electronic music
