NERI OXMAN - Bio Inspired Design
Neri Oxman combines breakthroughs in materials science (such as 3D printing) with design principles found in nature. Imagine a skyscraper made with concrete that can breathe and grow and “think,” or a death mask that visualizes a final breath. Buoyed by boundless enthusiasm, Oxman’s talks are obstensibly about what is possible when you mix art and science; but really they’re about possibility itself.
Neri Oxman received her PhD in design computation as a Presidential Fellow at MIT, where she coined the term Material Ecology to describe her research area.

Her husband, by creating a fake drama, has transformed her image overnight,by shining a spotlight on her work, and plagiarism. karma for the win.
This is amazing. I love her ideas and the way she communicates.
Wow. She's talking about creating the first simple STC from science fiction with that truck robot. "Standard Template Construct" database system from the Warhammer universe. Very cool! This meld of perspectives, philosophies and sciences is amazing.
