My Nepali friend used to become emotional remembering that incident. King Birendra was very dear to people of Nepal.

I had met a Nepali man in Singapore where he was saying that somebody was wearing the mask of Prince Dipendra who killed everybody.

If King Birendra alive till now Nepal would become One of the Develop and happiest country in the world . Miss you our pride King Birendra and prince Dipendra

My father was posted in Raxaul then, we used to visit Birgunj (Nepal) every Saturday (the city was very beautiful). I still remember I was sleeping and it was Saturday, when suddenly my father came after taking newspaper and screaming "King Birendra has been killed". It was very surprising for us. We had visited Kathmandu just a month ago, and I had seen how the common people of Nepal would sit on roads on Thursdays to see the King while he moved in public (he was very respected, and a visionary king). The situation then became very tense, we could not go to Nepal for the next 3-4 months after that due to unrest. The next King, Birendra jee's brother was incompetent and under him Nepal was always tensed.

I was in class 10 when this happened. I remember the chaos, anger and sadness among us all Nepali people. It is still a fresh wound on every Nepali’s heart. They put all the blame on Prince Dipendra, but the truth is far from it. This was a whole conspiracy n the way all the evidences meticulously disappeared, there is no doubt it was an inside conspiracy but culprit was not the crown prince. All members of the King’s family were dead, but all members of Gyanendra’s family survived with non life threatening injuries… fishy!!! Prince’s sister was heavily pregnant at the time of this incident, and yet she was mercilessly murdered while her husband survived! Many people in the Durbar also claimed they saw multiple Dipendras meaning he was at two places at the same time, so someone wearing his mask may be the culprit! This theory also may explain why he had no expression on his face when he shot his family as claimed! Prince Dipendra may have had issues with his parents but he did love his siblings and it is not plausible that he would shoot his pregnant sister so mercilessly & not even flinch, no matter how drunk people said he was!

I doubt in every matter last month i visited the palace n saw the place of incidence it is beyond my imagination why those people gathered in most dirty place of Palace which was bit 100 mtr away from mail building and the place is not at all where party can be arranged leaving such elegant dinning hall situated in main palace . Entire murder was planned n i think it was done by Chinese Govt .since King was inclined towards India

Being a elder brother one can’t imagine to even hurt his younger sister when she is pregnant..instead we would do anything to save her at those pregnancy days…and a even very younger brother , would we not save them at any cost no matter what anger issues we have with our parents.. imagine when they beg to not kill anyone would we not be melt seeing them? I think after having those joints he died in his room where his duplicate was hiding then duplicate came to kill the king. The duplicate was hired by Paras family to eliminate king

Very well researched and non-biased. However, you forgot to mention that 3 people looking alike Dipendra were spotted. This was revealed later by a cleaner who survived by hiding under a couch. He said that he spotted 2 Dipendra simultaneously at one place. 21 yrs without a fatherly figure for Nepal has costed us a lot. Comparing HM King Birendra to the new politicians, they look like jackals. RIP Badamaharaj.

People still want king not because it is king but because it was birendra who ruled. His father wasnt very democratic but living with such father he was not support of full power yet established multiparty democracy on the country. He is / was/ always will be the best ruler/person to be in power

You're absolutely right. Monarchy had that stability that fear in people which stopped them from engaging in crimes, bad deeds, corruption etc People had respect for the Crown. But, now everything has been destroyed. Corruption and crime rate has risen, people dont respect the leaders cause most of them are corrupt. There is no stability in the country.
