This was such a blast to create!
My pitch idea was to make a 2D animation in the style of the Mario and Luigi video game saga!
I decided to do this mash-up with the universe of Epithet Erased: Prison of Plastic created by Brendan Blaber aka @JelloApocalypse !

God, the way that Pheonica's idle animation moves being a bell is clever.

Holly hell, dude. This is absolutely incredible. The smooth animation, the details on each of the buttons, the dialogue and timing-all of it has a perfect RPG feel to it. This really looks like a legit game. I've had a blast seeing the works in progress, but I'm still blown away by the finished product! You should be massively proud of yourself. 👏👏👏
I have never seen Epithet Erased, but I am a very big fan of the Mario & Luigi games and this made me very happy. The animation in general is sublime. Maybe ill check out the series at some point.

Bloody Hell! I clicked on this thinking it was going to be a small Epithet Erased fan animatic; I was in no way expecting excellent fully-animated character animation with the original voice cast!
This animation is so amazing! It feels so faithful to both the M&L games and EE, from the charming idling to the vibrant background, not to mention the wonderful effects on the attacks that really add a sense of impact. It came together incredibly well!
