Great to see the troop in action. It appears they were concerned about their eldest member, and each took time to care for her in their own way. Gorillas really are a wonderful species. Strong and intelligent yet gentle and, at times, sensitive. Shabani is a fabulous troop leader! Thank you, Japanese Zoo, for this informative view!

They are so amazing how the care and communicate with each other. When one of them is down the whole family notices. Nene and Ai definitely had a conversation. That was awesome to see. I'm so glad Nene finally ate.

Nene is estimated to be about 50, and that is astounding for a gorilla. The world's oldest gorilla just celebrated 66 years old. Nene's health, at her age, must be watched closely. ❤

Lovely to see elderly Nene playing like a young girl. This is a very close family, they have their disagreements but there is a lot of love between them. 🙋‍♀️🦍🇬🇧

That one is 61 years old, lives all alone, spends all the time she’s not sleeping on a mobile phone, watching videoss and uploading her venomous comments/replies. I too wish she was banned as well as her male counterpart @stevemorris who she refers to as sweetie. Those two have been at it for years.

It is so touching to see the caring of old granny Nene by her family. It is too bad that the Momotaro family does not have more members so they could be more affectionate to Genki and Momotaro. Genki knows only how to be affectionate to her offspring.

Yes, she is affectionate to kintaro. She has no feelings for momo at all. That was a terrible match from the beginning. But the zoo got what they wanted, which was for a mentally disabled female to breed.

@@bigboytoyz541 Unfortunately, Momotaro, growing up without a father, was at a disadvantage from the beginning. It is truly amazing they mated at all. Only the drive of Genki's estrus was able to make the mating a fait accomplit. Now there is a dysfunctional family dynamic that will have to endure as there is no other solution. Gentaro will be moved to an upcoming bachelor troop, and probably the same for Kintaro, eventually. No breeding prospects for either of them, and no new wife prospects for Momotaro when Genki dies. Sad, really.

@@mamacitadelosperros533 I agree. It is sad to see a silverback like momo, that is in his prime, and stuck in this situation. I think in the beginning that he was just excited to be with a female that he didn't mind. But after living with genki all this time, now he doesn't seem to have any interest in her.

Nene seems to be going after ai a lot here lately.
