Nemophila (Japanese: ネモフィラ, Hepburn: Nemofira) is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in Tokyo in 2019. It consists of vocalist Mayu, guitarist Hazuki, bassist Haraguchi-san and drummer Tamu Murata. While independently releasing three singles between 2020 and 2021, Nemophila garnered a sizable multinational following online by uploading videos to KZread. In June 2021, British record label JPU compiled the singles into the internationally released Oiran: Extended Edition. Nemophila released their debut studio album, Revive, in December 2021. Their most recent album, Evolve, was released in January 2024.

The Nano Yaon It is an exclusive festival for female metal bands It is organized by the Ladies of Metal "Show-Ya" the first female metal band that started in 1981, still with all its original members Nemophila was born by accident, Mayu (vocalist) needed to make some musical sections and brought them together, The result was so good that Mayu convinced them to stay together, They had all belonged to important bands, Saki (guitar) recently left the group, for the moment they are going to stay with the 4-member lineup. They have a Babymetal cover that is incredible

Saw them live twice in Southern Cal and they were fire. You need to check out "Zen". The lead singer (Mayu) puts on a show.

It might be interesting to compare Nemophila’s most beautiful ballad (ODYSSEY) with their heaviest song (ZEN). You can also find unofficial videos of ODYSSEY with English Translation.
Definitely check out the official music for 'Dissention' (Japanese ver.) even if you don't want to react to it. Usually I chose LIVE over the MV but this live isn't so well produced. So many more details in the MV vs this one. Many of their more recent live videos are much better production quality. Great reaction!

Nemophila's guitarist, Hazuki, is in another band called Koiai with Li-Sa-X. Li-Sa-X was playing Paul Gilbert songs by the time she was 8 years old and was personally mentored by him.
