Fabian has such a big heart. He just wants his friend to be happy so he’ll go, own up to the problem, fix it, and not only that offer Gertie an in for how to court Kristen- tea and tie dye! - its so mature and just good of him. Love this growth for him!

One of my favorite constant things in fantasy high is when Siobhan just big-dicks it with the portent rolls. It happens infrequently enough that I’m always surprised and impressed when she just drops “no you don’t you get a 19”. She makes divination wizard seem like the most badass thing in the world and I LOVE it

Gertie being such a dork is so great. The way she mixes normal speech with really antiquated, formal speech, with those constant voice cracks that imply a future with a deep alto voice? Amazing. Stupendous. I hope she shows up in Senior year with a deep voice and a huge swarm of bees.

I mean there is a type of tie dye pattern called a honeycomb pattern so it might have had something to do with that

I think there are two aspects that genuinely sells the sincerity of this. First Fabian was willing to offer a public apology if Gertie wanted it, and afterwards Fabian playing wingman and giving Gertie some dating tips

It's a nice colour that isn't limited to a single colour. And my nephews made me tie-dyed socks quite a few yrs ago and I still wear them to special occasions for "luck"(confidence) lol

if we have to relate it to bees, bees wax is commonly used as a dye resist in traditional tie dye methods!
