Nekusar, the Mindrazer Budget Commander Deck | MTG
Today, I'm going over a budget commander deck that I've built around Nekusar, the Mindrazer. This deck leans heavily into Nekusar's abilities, forcing our opponents (and ourselves) to draw while Nekusar deals damage to them for doing so.

Great video!
Oooh I always wanted to build a grixis deck as my only one was the mishra precon from brothers war. And I need another pseudo group hug to pair play when slicer is too strong for the pod. This one is def going into the commander box.
Reliquary tower is pretty essential for all the cars draw in this deck, also you could run a mindslicer to wipe your opponents hand and deal an extra 2 damage per card discarded with Megrim. Good for forcing them to play on the draw. Overall, great budget deck I’ll be building soon, just wish it had a bit more discard
I’d like to add an honorable mention to Tor Wauki The Younger, with all the pings/one damage instances and the number of instants/sorceries cast with the lifelink effect. it’s hilariously good if you can make it stick. Also super cheap like 25¢!
I know he is expensive (mana wise) but the ob-nixilis plains walker does the same so 4 damage each turn when people draw would be good
Giant's Amulet is another Hexproof equipment since Nekusar won't be doing much attacking.
reminder! Helm of the ghastlord is not a complete lock out. Each damage is its own trigger meaning if they draw an instant they can cast it.
