Any form of pitch invasion and players coaches getting heckled and headbutted is completely unacceptable. This just removes the joy out of that game. Kudos to Vieira and what he did was right. I'd definitely punch the living daylights of such people. This is utter disgrace.

  • @G.T.E403

I agree that pitch invasions are dangerous but Veira's reaction I thought was unacceptable. Home fans sometimes spend entire games taunting the away fans, I don't see the away fans then going over to the home fans to kick out, because they don't like what they heard, no they just deal with it as it's part of the game. Veira's reaction was simply because a fan was taunting him and then he reacted. I agree with Simon that Veira should have never been in a position were he had a fan in his face, but the reaction was still unacceptable. If taunting a Manager or a fan is a disgrace then it's going to get to the point were fans are not allowed to do or say anything, and if you punch someone for simply taunting you, we both know who's getting in the sh!t.

I dont understand why the points deduction is being so frowned upon. It would be the biggest deterent, it is fans doing this and if they know it will cost them, they wont do it, it should be an automatic 5 point deduction for any team who's fans invade the pitch be it home or away. Someone will be seriously onjured or worse if this continues.

@@Armed-Foreverabove the law???No in this case Vieira should have sent that so called 'supporter' to ICU for 8- 9 months at least , inable to move from an hospital bed for 8-9 months . He had any right to do so, he would have been fully justified in doing so. Are you going around abusing people for no reason at all?

It's simple if fans invade the pitch automatic 5 points deduction or they forfeit the game. Fans wouldn't do it then

Viera should sue EPL for allowing fans to invade the pitch & potentially causing harm to the Pros. They already did that in the Sheffield Forest game

I'm an Everton fan and all for the the pitch invasion after our season but Patrick Viera should not be subject to that and he should not be punished. To be fair the fan has not said anything and it should be put to bed .
