When i stopped watching Neighbours for a bit due to life, the return of Paul Robinson was the reason i started watching again, Legendary character and actor thank you Stefan Dennis

Devastated neighbours is ending 😥 Been watching for 25 years. I already know i will cry on the final episode. Im just hoping that one day it will be picked up by another network. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Oh my goodness! So sorry to see a good soap of the charters. I remember in the 80s when they showed -Neighbours- in Sweden with Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. Now that was a spectacular time. Thankyou for all the years, all the hard work you all gave, the good and the bad things. Words are never enough… ❤️ you

On ya Stefan :). I have watched since episode 1 and am devastated Neighbours is ending. I will no longer have you all in my living room every evening. I have it on good authority that Stefan is a real gem of a bloke. Thanks Stefan for all the entertainment over all these years, going to miss you and Erinsorough.

I used to watch neighbours back in the 90s and still watch some of the old clips from the 80s. I would like to wish Stefan and all the actors every success and whatever the future holds for them.

I've not watched the show for a few years but its done incredibly well to run for as long as it did so sad to see it go. hats off to everyone like Stefan who made the show what is was. Reg Watson created some iconic shows in his day and this was most certainly the best. My mom worked with him back in his ATV days and made over 2000 shows with him.

I'm devastated,sad,"NEIGHBOURS"was my favourite Aussie soap.I watched this show when it was on 7 then went to 10,it produced some Fabulous characters especially my KYLIE as Charlene.Going to miss you NEIGHBOURS love you it's not going to be the same anymore without you😢😢😭😭

Thank you so much to everyone in neighbours I will miss you so much ❤️You have been always there . Also Iam laughing as it’s 17 degrees in Aussie and they have winter coats on and here in Scotland it’s 18degrees and people are in summer outfits 😂

I am 61 I have watched this show from day one brillxo

Steffen Dennis is a complete legend. My favourite neighbours character. He was in prisoner cell block h as Doreen's boyfriend. Doreen played Sheila in neighbours. Brilliant character Paul Robinson so glad he's from the original cast. Oh and I've watched neighbours from when it started in UK I was 10 years old. Neighbours has eras that can suit everybody. And Paul, most of the time is there. God bless Neighbours.

They made a good point. He's played Paul Robinson, 12 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 26 years. A good part of his thought processes must belong to the character. Same with Alan Fletcher, he's pretended to be a Doctor for 28 years.

Why is this coming to an end when it has over 1 million viewers in the U.K. alone. It makes no sense to me Channel 5. Something needs to be done to save neighbours and keep it going.

@@Jamie_Dodger If that’s the case, these channels must have another agenda to replace it, but with what? Rubbish. It’s probably some big executive, who probably isn’t a fan and just wants to throw his weight around, and cancel something, that is rather special. I just wonder, with the popularity of KZread, can’t we all pay donations, no matter how big or small, including the actors themselves and put it on KZread. I’m not sure how that would work, but surely it would get a lot of views. If an entrepreneur, or a group of entrepreneurs got together to make this happen, with all the actors in collaboration as well.

I had no idea Paul was fired. I know that Neighbours has a 5-year cycle, which targets audiences with different preferences within those 5 years. It ends in the 5th year being somewhat wacky and over-the-top, then resets to being sensible and traditional again. It's usually accompanied with a cast clear out and branding about a show revamp. Neighbours was reaching the end of its 5-year cycle in 2006/2007. I guess they 'fixed' Paul so they could keep him by giving him a brain tumour.

Few people remember now that Jason Donovan wasn't the original Scott. He was a recast, and the original actor was Darius Perkins, who sadly died a couple of years ago from cancer.

I was watching an episode the other day and thought much Neighbours is like The Bold and the Beautiful now, same sort of style and scene music etc. Anyone agree?!

I still think Terry was his true love, he completely changed after she shot him and became very bitter and detached. Their wedding is still my favourite episode. Neighbours will never be forgotten and neither will the characters💜

Interesting no character ever says that being shot by his first wife is likely the reason he turned out how he did. I only saw the odd ep or two before 2004. Then there was some Neighbours promo at a Westfield, I wasn't into it but had seen an ep or two and so recognized some of the people there at the promo. Was dating a girl at the time who was obsessed with the show so got some stuff signed for her. Stefan Dennis was there, got yapping with him and he mentioned he was an original cast member who was returning in the 2004 finale. He said there would be a lot of suspense and stuff surrounding his character, and I do like shows that are full of suspense so I started watching it a bit before the 2004 finale and in the finale there he was. So had to watch it from there, as some bloke was dead and a bomb or something destroyed the complex and I thought yeah it was probably him. He did a great job playing the dodgy corporate villain upon his return, with the affairs and fraud and corporate gangsters chasing him and stuff. So decided to try and find his earlier eps from the 80s. And in his earliest eps he was the opposite. But yeah complete change after the wife shot him, he even says it to Alan Dale who played his old man, the bloke his wife murdered was rich and successful and had fast cars and all that. But yeah that never gets brought up in the show that that is why he's so messed up

Such a shame Neighbours is ending. It used to be such a light hearted pleasant show but seemed to lose its way over the last couple of years when the LGBT people took it over and started politicising with it.

Curious as to why this is the only one with comments. Why?? I will miss the show but not the Paul character. Badness shouldnt be 'celebrated'. Yes it is a tv show, but the point remains. Pity Ryan aka Toadie didnt do one.

If all the characters are good all the time, where the heck is the entertainment in that? May as well sit and read the Bible, but even that is full of villains. And Stefan Dennis's character Paul was a fun villain to watch, amusing how he'd be scheming away, think he got away with it only to once again be busted and brought down a few pegs. Then promises to change then a month later he's back in business, new scheme. I remember a storyline with him and his twin sons, one pretending to be the other then trying to kill him so he has a fake wedding with another ex wife to lure the son out. And when he was pushed off the balcony of his hotel. Great stuff.

Re comment by Sarah Harris interview; there is Nothing delicious about a devilish storyline. Why people love watching it is beyond me. Im glad to see Therese away from Paul. What happens at the end will be interesting. I would love to see Paul jailed or etc. That would be comeuppance/just desserts. I would also like to see Therese stay with Glen. She needs someone kind and nice and unselfish.

FACT JIm Robinson left neighbours in 1993 because he was only getting around 300 dollars per episode and then earned MILLIONS in the USA
