    What type and grit grinding wheel did you use? I have a heavy Guardian machete that is not even factory sharp. Just rough shaped in, 2 regular machetes, 2 sizes, some axes, a pick that has been blunted round from misuse, two metal wedges with mushroomed heads, shovels and other hand tools. Hands not steady with hand stones. One of the rectangular stones has 3 grooves on one one end. I think the stone is too large for them to be for hooks. Have one standard grinder motor and one that might be for hobby use or maybe small tools. Are there fine grit stones and honing wheels?

    If he would have tapered the steel , heated it to soften it to take a weld better, used a stick Welder because of the higher tensil strength of the weld, then reheat and quench then temper. It might hold then.

  • @Jaybird-oo3ih
    @Jaybird-oo3ih2 жыл бұрын

    The piece will break if ever used much because of the way it was pieced together, the weld on the piece is not going to take repeated shocks that an axe normally takes.
