Nehemiah- From Persia to Jerusalem - A personal Journal
Nehemiah son of Hakaliah, a senior minister in the royal court of Persia, left a brilliant career in the capital of the greatest empire in the world to return to a desolate and humiliated city.
His Jewish brethren who lived in Jerusalem needed his help; they were under repeated attacks from the surrounding peoples and the few that remained would not survive long.
Nehemiah decides to construct a protective wall around the city. He had to overcome huge difficulties - including an attempt on this life.
He decides to document the hardships he endured when he came to the country and the rebuilding of the wall in a personal journal that he wrote in Hebrew. This is the book of Nehemiah in the Bible.
The film followed portions of the journal and illustrates the fascinating story of a leader who left everything and managed, against all odds, to save the project of the Return to Zion from collapse and to usher Jerusalem into the magnificent future of Second Temple times.

Having read these scriptures, it is indeed wonderful to see in video format! It brings everything to life. This completes the picture of many a story in scripture and I want to thank you for producing it in English alongside Hebrew, which I am learning little by little!
