Neglected Backyard Built 1950's VINTAGE Mini Bike! - FULL Restoration and Transformation!

This video is definitely a change of pace from my normal uploads, but I think many of you will enjoy it. Don't worry, still plenty of garage time (almost all of it actually) but with a more personal touch. It's a long one, but I think its worth it. Plenty of memories, mechanical workings, frustrations, elations and other emotions in this one. Kick back, grab some snacks and drinks, and enjoy watching me bring this 70 year old mini bike back to life!
The Captain John Sax foundation is below. Tell them I sent you!

I watched this video earlier this morning with my boyfriend. First, I appreciate that you love and honor your friend, Capt Nicholas Losapio, his Grandpa, Noble and the rest of the family his family, Capt John J. and yourself as well, who you are as a friend. I am sad for your loss. I can't imagine the void. I loved your video, I appreciate your heart and the friendship you and Nick have which knows no bounds. Take care of yourself Chris. Please, extend my regards to Nick's mom. She seems like a real spitfire and fun lady, respectfully. She was jammin' on that lil scooter bike... vintage pit bike😊

Good job on the video and resto work. I am 77 yrs old and remember engines like that from my youth. My Dad and I built a go-kart from scrap parts and metal pipe. My engine was from a garden tractor and not like that one. A friend also had a homebuilt kart with an engine very similar. Sears sold them and they were called Power Products. They did use them on their chain saws. David Bradley was their chainsaw name. The clutch/ transmission reminds me of a Cushman Eagle, which looked very similar. Could be, who knows? Great story and thanks for doing it. Al Hook

Seems like the military had a lot of issues with the Osprey, as well as the new unit they are introducing soon. Lots of issues with the design. Neither here nor there, just keep in mind you and Nicks family will meet again one day. Great way to honor him and his grandpa. To all of those who serve, has served, thank you for the sacrifice each of you have made for our country, and never allow those who have fallen for our freedoms, to be forgotten. Back in the 50's there was stick welding I believe but for a project such as this I think Oxy/Acetelene torch's were most likely what was used as you could weld or braise with almost any material including coat hangers (metal of course) it was an extremely versatile welding and cutting system.
