I definitely agree that no doubt the protagonist deserves an Oscar, but this movie is going to get no award in Hollywood just precisely because it severely punches the floating line of our woke culture, which consists basically of laundering the evil, denying it exists and assuming the supreme moral principle for the human being is "do as you wish". Hollywood must find this absolutely inconvenient, as it takes off the Devil's mask, and the industry will for sure cancel this movie, or just hide it from the general public. We must pray so this can be watched not as a "religious" one, for many non-believers would refuse to watch it, and once it reaches many people no matter their beliefs, it will make them think, which should be the great goal.

I think it's accurate. I think this is how they operate. Like the bible says, first the devil gets a toe hold, then a foothold, then a stronghold. They work theirselves in. Jesus and the apostles threw out many demons. There's still demons, it's not like they just disappeared. It makes you think about schizophrenia and things like that, are people actually crazy? EXCELLENT and it's by no means an "Exorcism" movie. The feeling that you are in the presence of pure evil is done so well and the shifting back and forth between the demon and the actual person keeps you wondering each moment who is speaking. For non-believers - you are certainly free to express your opinion, in fact that's a huge part of what this movie is all about. For believers - Yeah, helps you see why this world is literally being shredded before our very eyes. Evil is real, as are demons, the devil and Hell and there are only two choices we have and we DO have a choice.

@@vini_nicius643 I just expected a lot more from it. To be honest I’m not crazy about any movie that has an agenda attached to it. I can’t stand these woke movies that come out because they are obviously brainless liberal Hollywood, trying to virtue signal to the masses. Just like I really am not into political evangelical movies like this one. I’ll agree maybe the acting was alright but the story was just so underwhelming and tricks the audience into thinking that this movie is going to have a lot of twist and turns when “the demon” tells the doctor that he will commit 3 murders before he leaves there today. Awesome, I’m all in at this point. Then the demon goes back on that by revealing the first murder or what this Demon considers a murder which happened long before he entered the prison. Right after that happened I realized this movie isn’t creative enough to make the doctor actually commit 3 murders at the prison. Then the second murder is when he calls too late to get his girlfriend to stop an abortion. Obviously the 3rd murder was going to be the guy the demon has possessed, but that was obviously predictable when the demon first said he was going too commit 3 murders before he leaves the prison. In my opinion a good movie about demon possession is The Exorcist. This movie is for certain people like evangelicals who want to scare there kids out of playing with Oujia boards. The demon never even explains how exactly he possessed the guy. He just mumbles some crap about Oujia boards, something about saying yes too much, and not going to church.

I've been a paramedic for 28 years. I'm a supervisor, and I train students during their clinical rotations (including special operations combat medics from all around the country). In my career, I've had many, many bizarre patients, but I've only had one who I think was possessed. Due to HIPPA laws, I can't say much about this patient... but enough years have gone by that I feel comfortable saying this: This grown adult patient went from being perfectly normal and sane, to suddenly spending days in his parent's basement, staring at a furnace. The parents were terrified of him, and warned us: "You're not going to like it down there. There's something wrong. You can feel it." As soon as you step down the stairs into the basement, you COULD feel it. It's been over fifteen years, and I have goosebumps as I type this. The man had been staring at his furnace, talking to snakes that were not there. He told his parents (and us) that the snakes were telling him to do bad things. He just stood there, whispering to them, and when you entered the basement, you could feel a sort of palpable and evil presence. I know that sounds melodramatic, but I'm not sure how else to describe it. If it were just for that, I would say he had schizophrenia, and I just let the parents freak me out... but I kid you not, his back had bite marks all over it. You could see the teeth imprints. I'm very happy to say I have never had to return to that house.

I don't know who made this movie but I thought it was incredible! Sean Patrick Flannery's performance left me in awe. I usually have problems with movies based on biblical themes but this movie was just really freaking good. It was interesting the way the demon described to James how everything came to be yet he so smoothly turned everything to seem as if he and his master lucifer were the ones oppressed by God and that the creation of humans got in their way of 'winning' against Him. And I really, really was impressed with whoever wrote this when they had the scene with the Chaplin. In just a few words the 'man of God' proved himself to be faithless and the demon knew he wasn't a threat. This movie was smart and I think it shines out from the rest of this genre for sure.

It’s ironic that the same nose-in-the-air, self righteous narcissists who have tried to derail this film are the same people who Nefarious calls out. And it does so in the most incredibly well constructed way possible…with the kind of unvarnished truth that pure evil sometimes inadvertently shines a light on. Exceptional film, worth seeing twice

The whole "suspension of disbelief" ie it held my attention and was very immersive. (3) Timing and cinematography were smooth and moved along well. (4) and the message was very mature and relevant. Honestly, way way way better than I expected and I definitely recommend seeing it.

Let me tell you that just living in a demon infested home was more than enough to make a permanent mark, a scar if you will, upon my memory & my very soul and one that still haunts me to this very day, even though this took place nearly 30 years ago!! But again, I just genuinely wanted to reach out to wish for God to continually fill your life with miracles and blessings beyond your wildest dreams, because from the sounds of it, you've most certainly earned it!!✌️😊👍 Godspeed and of course, God bless you & all your family, friends, and other loved ones!!

As a soldier of Christ this stirs me to my knees crying out to Jesus to do whatever it takes to saved my love ones who are still worldly and rejecting Christ. Give your whole heart to Christ. This is not just a movie this is a warning. Jesus warned us and gave us everything we need to overcome in Him. One day He will remove His ppl from the earth…. Those who have truly surrendered their whole heart and life to Him. The restrainer which is His Holy Spirit that lives in those who believe . The Holy will be taken out of the way off the earth… and what you see in this movie pales in comparison to the evil that will be running rampant on the earth. We’re getting close. Jesus said we won’t know the hour but we will know the season. We are in the season. Forsake the world and follow Christ with your whole heart. It is not a coincidence: 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the original that started it all, “The Exorcist.” Numerous media outlets and individuals have asked about my thoughts on the Russell Crowe movie: “The Pope’s Exorcist.” Sony Pictures purchased a ton of advertising space on my podcast, The Exorcist Files. I had no control over that. iHeart hosts the podcast and sells advertising to whoever wants to buy it (each episode airs 9 commercials). Sony spent tens of thousands of dollars to purchase three ads per show. However, because of the podcast’s success, he expressed an interest in being hosted on it. That was about four weeks ago. I replied that before conceding, I needed to see the movie (i.e., I needed a screener sent to me). After a couple of weeks, I still had no reply, but Sony released the movie’s trailers, and it was apparent (tragically) that it is yet another movie in the “horror” genre. One of the significant themes also appears to be a scandalous Vatican conspiracy to “cover up” a demonic secret. Since the masses would undoubtedly see my hosting Crowe as an endorsement of his movie, I insisted-again-that my watching the movie would be a pre-condition for any hosting. The request for a Crowe appearance was rescinded. The same week I received a request for my endorsement of another exorcism movie, “Nefarious,” produced by two devout and faithful Catholics, Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman. They were the producers and directors of the pro-life film, Unplanned, which depicts the pro-life conversion of Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson. After watching “Nefarious,” I can say-without hesitation-that it is the best movie portraying demonic possession ever produced. Rather than getting bogged down-like every other movie-in diabolical phenomena and power (levitation, extraordinary strength, and other “same-old” signs), this one brings the viewer into the demonic mind. While the movie trend has focused on displaying demonic rage, “Nefarious” deftly exhibits the Devil’s insatiable craving and formidable intelligence. Far less concerned with ostentation than demonstrating the Devil’s thought and intellectual character, the movie accurately depicts how he smothers his victim’s hope. Astute, careful, and intelligent thinking went into its script. Solomon and Konzelman have encapsulated the conundrum into which a demon always presses his victim: whether you choose option A or B, you’re damned either way, so cooperate on the Enemy’s terms and choose one. Of course, you are always free to end your life. Therein is another conundrum… The movie is clean and is not a “horror”movie. It has no blasphemies, sex scenes, or even 4-letter words. However, it is anything but boring. As an exorcist, I can affirm it is true to life and a must-see for anyone who desires to understand the Enemy. I found it gripping. I showed it at the seminary where I live, and the seminarians and priests raved about it for days. I will share more about Nafarious in my next post. Go see it, friends! Theatres begin showing it tomorrow. -Fr. Carlos Martins (a Catholic exorcist)
