Neeraj Chopra scripted history for India as his gold medal secured the nation's first ever in Athletics. His 87.58m attempt was enough to place him at the top of the standings after 6 throws in the men’s javelin throw final.

Sitting with my friends in one corner of a small town in Arunachal Pradesh and there we all stood again with our fist on the chest singing our national anthem after a long gap when Neeraj the Golden boy of our country won the Gold ...and we were so proud to see our Tricolour flying at the top..So proud so proud so proud .....Thank you Neeraj for giving the best finishing touch at the Olympics for India

Real support will exist when the government starts building Olympic training centers and start seeking talent in their younger years (less than 10) who are built for sports and then support them and train them with proper education.
