I think the point is that once she dies, He wishes that none of it happened. Hence the song starts where she dies and he feels like she wouldn't die if they never met.. and the song ends at a point where they didn't meet.

@@dhilipkumar1588 I hope you know tamil language. If not, the song is in absolute straight manner. Means though the video is reversed the song he singing is correct chronological order. So he achieved it by reversing and memorizing a gibberish version of the same song which he often sings in public speeches and interviews. Now let me come to the point. Knowing his recorded video is gonna be reversed and shown in movie he decided to do the expressions as well in reversed manner. Like he has to slowly open his eyes to an extend to wide open so then it can be reversed and synced with lyric as normal like he actually closing the eyes in pain while he consoling the girl. Like that the entire song expression is straight to us "The viewers" then imagine what will be the actual recored footage?????

That movie is gold. I wish Sundar C. Made more of Anbe Sivam kind of movies than the shitty films he makes now. If he really didn't give up on that he would have reached some other levels of movie making.... and of course the audience must take the responsibility of failing a good movie and a director. And people were expecting a good going happy happy movie like 5thanthram and stuff... Overall Anve Sivam is an excellent movie for people who love real cinema and reality

He not only had to memorize gibberish in reverse but also speed it up since they were shooting it in SlowMo.

An accident is something that happens within a split second. Things change so quickly and drastically that the ones involved in it (who have survived with or without injuries) are in shock and are aren't in the state of mind to even believe let alone accept that it happened. Even when they start accepting it they still keep thinking/feeling "I wish I could just go back in time and undo this". This song captures and represents that thought/feeling which I'm sure everyone would have felt after surviving an accident. This is even more intense if the survivors have sustained severe injuries or when they have lost their loved ones during the accident. In this case, the love the husband has for his wife comes out in the form of a song. The love he has for his wife (who was pregnant) is so much that he wishes he could go back in time, undo this accident. He also reflects on following important moments with his wife (typed in the correct order but shown in reverse): - meeting her for the first time during a rescue mission where she, her brother/father and a couple of others were held hostages by the terrorist (when she lost her brother/father). - the moment that he decided to marry her during one of the medical camps. - the moment he was there for her (when they were in love), consoling her when she war crying because she was missing her brother/father who died in the crossfire during the rescue mission. - the proposal. - the wedding ceremony. - the wedding night/honeymoon. - the time when both of them were painting their future child's room. - the time they were on vacation when the wife revealed she's pregnant. - the time when he was with her during the hospital visits for checkup. - the picnic/long drive before the accident.

He is the only guy in the world to bring in "Queen Elizabeth II" for a launch of one the biggest and grandest movie in Indian Cinema. But Sadly his vision was not brought into this world because no one would vouch for him financially. He was usually broke after most of his movies. They did not rake in more money but only praises. It's amazing. Gives you more reasons to really feel it as you go along. If we saw their story chronologically and then saw her die it wouldn't have been so impactful.
