It's almost amazing how all of us 2000 kids ended up. We all were happy and together at one point through the authenticity of content creation and gaming now we're all divided miserable and hanging on a thread while we gradually watch the new generation and the hell they'll face and become because of our great era being just another failed institution. The majority from our era aren't depressed but swept away from distraction and desperation which is what they call happiness. Theyre all fiending for a new fix just to keep from being like us the ones who's depressed and on edge. At least us depressed ones see exactly what's going on and aren't indulging to a degree but still we're no better and it's not about better or worse alot of us will find some new coping mechanism like maybe start a family or maybe become rich and pretend like the rest as if the world isnt a dark gritty place. The other half will live a quiet isolated life drenched in sorrow and dazed in inquisitions because we'll never really know what went wrong. We'll just be waiting practically demanding for death not even in hopes for heaven just to prevent the disappointment. This man made world isn't worth living and the real world isn't worth separating from so we'll live quietly perhaps indulge in more drugs might as well since the world is already a pain and just watch the sun rise, flowers boom, listen to the winds drunken song, and accept the caressing silence. No friends family or God's but a sense of self and being ok.

Being comfortable is a byproduct of stagnation, our mission is to try and do things better everyday. If water stays in one spot for too long it becomes stagnant & disease filled, no one benefits except bacteria. Flowing, rushing, and fresh water breathes life into literally everything around it. It’s like that funny kungfu guy said “be like water my friend”

The Fog Vapourwave genre really is unique. It's like...the mysterious fog, the low poly graphics and the music are very comforting. Silent hill tapped into this but never really capitalises and I hope a game one day really does.

That calm and serene feeling while listening to this masterpiece.

Guys, I know this is easier said than done in practice. But I'll try anyway. There is a reason for each of you to be here, whether you believe it or not. I come to remind you to move forward and let go of the past, even if the current situation doesn't seem good, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel calling out to each of you. Find a way to see something good in your current situation, because we know that good and evil are the same side of the coin, only changing from one to the other according to each person's perspective. And as opposing sides, one cannot exist without the other in this world, so your situation necessarily has a good side because there is no evil without good, and there is no good without evil. So be happy to be alive and have a chance to change your situation, make the most of what's good and what's bad, use it as learning. Don't look for what's already passed, the past is in the past, we have the habit of idolizing a fictional past that in our heads seems perfect, but we both know it wasn't quite like that, in the past we had our own difficulties and challenges, it wasn't as perfect as in our imagination. I know I wrote a lot and maybe you won't read it, but if at least one person reads it and it serves as a seed that will change that person's perspective on the situation they're going through, I'll be happy. Go in peace my brothers and sisters.

I used to join my (at the time) girlfriend (now wife) and two of our best friends all in the same common room of their run-down drafty old condo. It was the dead of winter, and we'd run a space heater, eat take out, and get cozy in blankets while playing Silent Hill. We played through one and two all the way, and even now, the games give me a sense of calm and comfort, because they remind me of those idyllic days when life was simpler. Your music takes me back to that headspace, and the video of Harry is the icing on the cake. Thanks so much for making these; they're truly wonderful.

you have to play it, it's an incredible good game

There are only a few doorways that appear open in SH1 to indicate you can enter them. The convenient store where Harry is at is just one of the locations. Also I never really took the time to notice, but the snowflakes have collision detection on not just the ground but on the parked vehicles as well!! Amazing what details you can notice when a camera change is in effect.

I played Silent Hill 2 in 2022 and Downpour in ps3 a long time ago, the anxiety and Hell that you undergo when playing is nerve-wracking, but when you find the safe-zones they're the most peaceful relief. Anyone concerned and excited about the New SH2 Remake? Lol P.S.- this video is saving me from depression. It's a bit more better than the ambiance from Resident evil 4 (original). Still my favorite game. Has anyone played the P.T Demo?

The sound design for the first Silent Hill game is unmatched. The first Silent Hill movie should have stuck with the ambient sounds of the game instead of its Hollywood style soundtrack. It would have been a much better movie, imho. Thank you for this. I miss the Silent Hill vibe.
