Poor guy, hope his kidneys are not acting up. Dehydrated I am hoping. I do that - I forget to drink some days. CPAP made my sleeping worse. I had to send it back to the nice people who gave it to me.

Vaseline/petrolium jelly on your nose while you use your cpap machine will most likely help. It is common for people on oxygen &/or cpap machines to get dry skin & a dry nose (inside & out), even if the machine uses sterile water. If you ever have a relative in hospital with breathing issues, they will love you forever if you buy them lip balm to stop oxygen or any other machine drying their lips out.

SuperMissblueeyes there is a nasogel saline based that helps darn forgot brand the Neti Pot company makes one but Im sure there are generics some in pump mists and in tubes

Awesome! I'm over in the UK, so it's difficult to know everything that's available over there. Thanks for adding that. I have a saline nasal spray that I use for my allergies that would be good for it, but it's a UK brand, so it was pointless me mentioning it. And Julie's CPAP would use water to create a mist. But the mist & air can both cause the uncomfortable redness on her nose. Thank you for adding that.

Julie, Did you seem to have fibro pain when you were younger maybe before Daniel's health became as chronic and fragile? I am really trying to figure out tje true pathology of Fibromyalgia because some healthcare professionals stigmatize it so much. Have you suffered a trauma accident that required surgery? I know complex regional pain can stem from an injury. My fibro friends all agree weather cold weather flares the pain. The sad thing is the more polypharmaseutical therapy of keeping adding Gaba drugs, tricyclics, SSRI/SNRI drugs, anticonvulsants and antipsychotics to treat PAIN instead of occasional narcotics that actually saturate OPIOID receptors is political BS. Yes physically dependent but they don't alter brain chemistry permanently and can be weened off by a caring physician
