Ned Sodrick sits down with a list of his favorite Shamokin memories. From downtown to the school districts Ned goes into great detail sharing what he loves about the Coal Region.
Ned has been a consummate educator, being a teacher, Elementary Principal, High School Principal and Superintendent of Shamokin Area School District.
He has also been very active in the community and is respected by all who knows him.

    I remember the Jupiter store. That was one of a kind. I remember the Italian subs and as soon as you walked in, the fresh cut raw onions would make your eyes water.

    My name is Jim Growing up on Diamond street ,playing baseball in the alley,Bunker Hill baseball,Basketball courts all over the place,yes COLD water at the Edgewood pool,leave in the morning be home when the arch lights go on,working at Marrtz Ice Cream ,ride your bike all over town, three movie theatres 15 cent admission. A safe town to grow up in
