My mother, Mary Barycki, sang in the choir with Nancy for many many years. Great to hear good stories about Shamokin instead of all the bad things. I remember the old Edgewood pool and walking to swimming classes early on chilly summer mornings and dreading getting in the cold water but we did it anyways. I remember getting on homemade rafts that were left at the edgewood lake after swimming class was over and hoping it didn't tip over. Too bad it all got covered up by concrete :(

Thank you for this! The goal is to tell our stories, share our history, and hopefully bury the nonsense that's out there.
