In this video I explain the definition of #necroptosis and how it is a combination of #apoptosis and #necrosis. Then I get into details describing the differences and the similarities between necroptosis and apoptosis.
Necroptosis starts with external #signalling similar to #extrinsic apoptosis pathway. But then it results in #necrosis-like #death.
Meaning it involves #lysosomal #enzymes, low ATP, #membrane rupture and eventually host #cell #inflammatory response.
