Heya guys, wondered if I could get some Necron tips from Michael? Building my Necrons from the indomitus boxset would he suggest Flayers or Gauss reapers for the Necron warriors?

Necrons: "You are surrounded!" Custodian Dreadnought: "All im surrounded by is FEAR, and DEAD, MEN."

"If you don't give your unit's an opportunity to do cool things, they never will." - Nick 100% agree. Do the Cool Thing, even if it's not the most optimal. It's just more fun that way!

One of the reasons I like watching reports that have Nick playing. He doesn't always make the right call, but he always makes the FUN call. It's a good reminder that it's just a game! If you're not having fun, why play?

Yes I want to play how I think my ultramarines fight in lore like the books I read 15 years ago.

It took me a solid nine minutes to realize that the "turn him into socks" taunt was referring to the Flayed Ones.

I think the thing I love most about this channel is that, whilst everyone plays by the rules, they also remember that it’s ultimately a game and sometimes making nonsensical decisions because it’s cool is the best play 👌🏻

Too bad Nick didn't utilize it until round 3.

Been playing a lot of 500pts as a beginner, and have to say been loving using Rough Riders as Astra Militarum. Not a lot of people expect melee Guard

I try whenever possible to drop quotes in my games as little Easter eggs.

All I can imagine is the Optimus Prime “I’ll take you all on” scene that’s been floating around KZread when that Dreadnought proceeded to show the Necrons how it’s done in the 41st millennium.

That's probably the coolest and best game result possible. Both players won that.

Beautiful production. Nick and Michael are always fun to watch - energetic and competitive till the end. The editing is top notch. Great cuts. I hope lots of other channel manage to adapt a similar editing style. You are pioneers. I enjoy the format. Smaller skirmishes make every model valuable. Since dice tell stories, I say this is format would fit a narrative campaign centered on kill team esque characters very well. Would fit your editing style also. I see movie potential here. Love you guys' work.

I was debating it! I decided lethal hits would be better but it was a tough decision.

Honestly combat patrol and 500-750pt games are my favorite way to play 40k. Forget 2k points with everything always getting cheaper in points.

Forgeworld is necessary for stodes to be competitive. Don’t buy them from official websites though.

I'd love to see a rematch with however many dreadnoughts you can squeeze into 500pts re-vs the same force of Necrons LOL Goes into Play on tabletop archives: Wow it was 4 years ago! I still think about how brutal that Custodes vs Tzeentch 1500pts Championship game was; so many mortally wounded Custodes ;(

Watching the light slowly fade from Nick's eyes this game was so incredibly painful because as somebody who has just started playing custodes within the past couple months against only my friend with a ridiculous amount of Tyranids is excruciating

They're really an army built for 2k points. At 500 pts like this, they just can't be everywhere and do enough compared to other armies, unless they go mostly SoS.

It takes BALLS to play custodes in this format!

It is part of the Leviathan Chapter Approved rules. If you have the Leviathan mission cards it would have been on the pamphlet in that set.

Nick is the best. always here for a good time not a W. That said, you can't 'win' if you dont exist Xenos scum. Nice table/victory.

Ok, at 10:40 (asking because I have not played before, I am still working on turning my massive built grey pile of shame into at the very least "battle ready" models..or at least 1k points for starters): Would it not have made sense to let the character die there, since it was on Nick's own turn and his opponent had a chance to pull the "Assassination" objective next turn, netting him secondaries for killing the now-1-wound exposed character..? She does not hold the objective, she does not get a turn, and at most gets to fight first on next combat (iirc the opponent fights first in continued combat?), maybe removing 1 or 2 models depending on how strong a character she is... I suppose it used up one of the opponent's attacks... Hm. Ngl, no idea whether that or the chance of the opponent scoring Assassination and using a CP was more worthwhile here. I really want to start playing. If only I could decide on the two colour schemes I have been testing (or whether I should just go Leviathan) so I can go ahead and paint more than the 10x Termagant, 10x Hormagant, 5x Barbgaunt and 3x Spore mines I have finished so far. Hrnng...

It's better to be max points win even if the person getting more points got wiped. That allows for tactics to make up for bad match ups

As much as i love watching your channel i would like to see more people playing. as much as i like the ones who come at playon, it would be fun to see more new faces. Im guessing you are looking for more but maybe its hard to find in some way, maybe beacuse of time or some other reason. But back when you started you guys had alot more people coming to play so what happend?

We have guests on quite regularly. We do have our regulars. But in the past year we’ve had dozens of guests come and play at our studio. We try to mix it up the best we can.

Great video but I always thought it was kind of dumb to draw objectives that are impossible to do on the first turn. I think you should be allowed to re-draw that.
