Necromancy Manual in the Cambridge Library - Erotic Binding Magic, Divination & Spirit Summoning

Necromancy conjures to mind everything from the summoning of the dead to foretell the future to the conjuring and binding of spiritual forces, good and evil, to accomplish a wide range of ends. But, just what does real, historical necromancy look like? In this episode I explore a handwritten necromancer's manual from Tudor England - MS Add.3544 (c. 1536-9) - to discover just what kinds of magical practices it contains. From erotic binding magic (love magic), to divination, to conjuring spirits and plants to summoning various spirits, this manual gives us a wonderful insight into the religious and magical world of the late Medieval period.

The most intense but yet simplistic way to gain the knowledge you wish, im assuming and hoping for the purpose of educating those in need, would be to access the akashic records. Do alittle research on Edgar Cayce to start, he accessed the records through a meditative state and in doing so was able to provide natural remedies and cures for numerous people. The records are literally a history of all that's ever existed since the first breath of the divine. Godspeed.

Wouldn't Scapulomancy be a form of true "necromancy," divination by the dead? Haven't finished the video yet, just a thought when you said "divination by the dead never happened" around 4:30

16:39 I wonder if the "creation of flies" has anything to do with "Spanish flies" being used as aphrodisiacs in the 18th century, perhaps most famous in the Marquis de Sade's 'poisoning scandal.'

I would love to hear your opinion on stories of gods, or at least powerful supernatural entities still active in the wildest pristine forests, mountain wilderness, and tundra. It seems logic and reason do not apply in these areas...only rituals of protection and supplication. Mostly avoidance as the gods are typically pretty and cruel and their ways are foreign to human cognition. We cannot comprehend their motivations, but mostly, they seem to toy with humans for amusement. There are many stories of still active occurances available all over the internet. For example, fairies, now given a Tinkerbell image, historically are evil and deadly tricksters. I had issues with them. (They are not nice!) I suspect many of the 411 disappearances are due to these beings, and other supernatural entities.

I for one agree with you - I've thought this for ages, especially about ones where kids show back up days later, unscathed, talking about friendly bears and the like. Also, the Sidh ("fairies") aren't always nasty, but they are easily offended and hate being called fairies
