@@AllThings80s Yeah that really is a piss take. They won't shift many at that price. They will be on massive clearance in the new year which is frustrating for you.

These new figures are fantastic. The ‘66 line had run its course. The selection of characters were pegwarmers in training. The last few waves had to practically be given away at Target, so giving us these new ones are more appealing to everyone. I always wanted the pink Riddler and the Gordon can be easily converted to a ‘66 Gordon with a little work.

The last few waves peg warmed because they were the wrong choices. There WAS plenty of life in the line, but McFarlane chose to move on.

I kind of like the idea of '77 Batman figures; they remind me of the mego dolls and pocket superheroes that I played with as a small child. Whether I buy them or not is another matter entirely! Merry Christmas to all in the comments section!

You can get the Mattel Alfred for the playsets. It comes with a 1966 head. You can slap the West and Ward heads on bucks from some other line. There are countless suited figs out there.

You MIGHT be able to use the body of the yet to be released figures of Baxter Stockman or Kirby from the TMNT Mirage Comics line for a ‘66 Dick Grayson. Both figures use the same body which are pants/jeans, and a sweater with a button down shirt’s collar sticking up out of the neck line. It’s perfect and exactly what he frequently wore. You’d have to repaint it but it’s otherwise perfect. The only potential negative and the reason I said “MIGHT” is due to scale. I think it’s a 7” scale line. These two figs are on the smaller side so they may be small enough to fit the ‘66 line. Also each fig features diff arms. One is long sleeves and the other has rolled up sleeves to the elbow.

Sorry you’re feeling under the weather, get well soon. It’s a bummer we’re not going to get the 66 batcopter 😢

Your comments around Macfarlane’s character choices for the 1966 show being wrong is 100% correct…. We still needed a Chief O’Hara, Alfred, Mad Hatter, Colonel Gumm, Clock King, Aunt Harriet, James Gordon, Commodore Schmidlapp, Vice Admiral Fangschliester, Bookworm. …..Most definitely enough for another 3 waves! Sorry the NECA '66 props aren't very good (I have the '89 Grapple & Batarang & BTAS Grapple Gun which are much better as they actually have electronics so feel they are worth the price, these new ones certainly don't sadly). For Batman '66 although they are making a wave based on Batman '77 the Batman '66 line is not over yet - Toy Shiz (who has a contact with McFarlane) has confirmed that the '66 line will be continuing

All that stuff should have been sold together for like $30 bucks. There is more effort put into the packaging insert, box art and design than the actual products inside. NECA for me this year have been knocking it out of the park with the Gargoyles line, the Mirage Comics TMNT figures and I picked up the Original Street Scene Diorama to put all the figures on. This stuff seems like a quick cash grab, super surprised that they would even handle such cheap plastic props like these.

What a disappointment that McFarlane is dropping the ball and not doing more of the villains and side characters from the '66 show and instead going to the 1977 animated show. I vaguely remember some of that show, but sure don't remember when the Mad Hatter sprayed the Riddler's outfit and turned it a contaminated cowl shade of pink.

The Riddler in red only appears in the opening credits due to some licensing with Hanna Barbera using their version of the Riddler on The Challenge of the Super Friends airing at the same time on ABC.

The props look the part, but overall are functinally pathetic. Having a working Bat Radio wouldve been mind blowing! The animated figures I do really like, even if its an indicator that the 66 figures have come and gone

The props do look great fun, that Batgirl radio thing especially is hilarious, camp as a field of tents The price is entirely u-hilarious though, they saw you coming I’m afraid :( And what a shame that Bruce, Dick and Alfred may never appear. To my mind they’re equally iconic as any character or iteration in the show (as is Commissioner Gordon now I think of it)

Yea,those Neca products are a big let down. I am satisfied with the 66 line if it's done. I mean we have Batman and Robin and the main villains. Plus the Batmobile,Bike and Boat. I think the play sets were not worth the money,so not getting a Bruce or Dick does not bother me. I am curious if you collected the 66 3.75 scale figures that Funko did a few years back. I wished the would have continued with those. But I am looking forward to those animated series figures from the 70's,I think they look really good.

I do have the Funko 3.75" figures but it's an extremely frustrating line as they ended it before giving us the Joker, the Riddler and the Penguin.

That brave old Dean Mustane! Plagued by a cold, neverthelesst still up and running ;-) A few interesting pieces you have there, we are entering the realm of prop replicas’s and cosplay. Weight is a subjective thing. Less weight, in my opinion, does not automatically mean less quality or detail. But I agree that a prop replica, and certainly on 1:1 scale, should have some realistic weight. In my experience, if you look at 3D printed props they can be detailed and almost have ’no weight’. In some of my own prop replica’s I even considered adding weights just for a more realistic ‘feel’ not because they did not look right.. I like these Batman props you reviewed. I agree that they are way overpriced. To me, they look as a good base for a prop maker to work with and make a real prop. Some electronics inside, a few metal parts and a nice paint job and these things can become rock and roll. I bet that batman-fan-prop-makers are already looking at these items. Take care!
