Couple of things with Nebraska. The renovations are probably going to focus on the south endzone. It hasn't been touched since being built (not connected to the rest of the stadium, no concourse, just a big grandstand essentially) Capacity overall will probably go down would be my guess. Been to dozens of Husker games. Yeah maybe the sellout streak isn't 100% legit but people still show up. Never really looks like it's not sold out.

Tear down and rebuild both of those ridiculous end zones and bring them in line with the sideline seating. Fanning those end zone seats back has just pushed seating further and further away from the field.

I am a Nebraska season ticket holder, donor and alum. Did a very long survey on this last year. It mostly revolved around south stadium, the endzone opposite of the one with the scoreboard on top. All other 2 sides have had major work done in last 20 years. Lots of questions in that survey on alcohol, party deck type amentias and I believe about a sports book. I don't think they will increase capacity. More talk has centered around widening space you sit in. Most of stadium is bench seating. I don't think there's much thought to increasing attendance capacity.

As a Nebraska fan I didn’t know about this news and a couple tidbits it actually holds about 90k and the sellout streak is valid donors bought the tickets so families that couldn’t go would get a chance to go

They wanna be back so bad, I hope they can get there with Rhule

@@Nobody-kg8md they did make some bone headed decisions there for a while lol. I don’t blame them for Scott frost though because he was the hottest thing back when you UCF went undefeated and won the “national championship.” That was a good hire at the time

It is the best stadium in the entire Big 10 by far

They need to really fix the bathrooms

I've heard the overall capacity is going down because the massive changes in south stadium include ripping out all those bleachers and replacing with seatbacks, lounge areas, club seating and suites, etc.

Now Nebraska needs to be relevant again in football.

They already said that they are decreasing the capacity, making seats bigger and more comfortable. Would like to see renovated restrooms, nicer concourses, better concession options, alcohol, and a second big screen with suites on the south stadium

Fill it in with suites and boxes.

The "Jerry World" renderings look as though they're going to flatten the roof somehow.

I think most of the money is going to go into the south end stand. It’s the oldest and most in need section

One thing is adding ability to sell booze. They want to add that revenue soon

But nobody can afford groceries let alone tickets to the football game.

Oklahoma was playing games a couple years ago while renovating they’re end zone and I know this because I was playing against them and the stadium was under construction during the game

The ACC isn’t blowing up though those schools are ACC staples

They want to build a facility that gets used year-round not just seven days a year… seating capacity will go DOWN to 75Kish… something used by students, the city of Lincoln, and the state of Nebraska on a regular basis! There will be public private business element as well!

Tech’s renovating their stadium during the season. But I think the main structure is up already. It’s not supposed to be done till next season

Definitely not lol, they’ve poured the concrete for the section back up to street level but they don’t even have steel up yet. They also won’t start on the practice facility until after the season as well
