One of the biggest crimes against humanity...they banned all incandescent light bulbs (in Australia at least), in the name of reducing electricity consumption. The houses, that were a source of love and well being, for body and spirit alike, with their warm glowing lights, became a shell of LED and fluro radiation. I remember my distress, because as an artist you couldn't seen the colors properly under the fake light ...the food didn't look right..... the homes looked cold and uninviting

The crime against humanity was completed in Australia was when they shut your gyms, school yards, and parks and locked you in those homes to protect your health...they were just following THE science, right? that same THE science simultaneously telling us that unless we reduce global population immediately we face an existential climate threat...

There is not a single scientific reason or argument for locking people down as the did, even though they still claim they "followed the science". I know a married couple in their mid-late 80s who have gone for hourlong walks outside every day for the last 30 years. They could easily pass for ten years younger. No cancer, no heart issues, no diabetes. I’m sure the regular exercise has something to do with it, and probably genetics to some degree, but now I can’t help wonder if the daily light exposure has something to do with it. Probably helps that they don’t smoke or drink, either.

@@KarlMaldensNose Near Infrared light occurs at sunrise and sunset. What is the color of sunlight at those times of day? Visible Red and Near Infrared. There is no danger for any normal person getting skin damage from sunlight at those times of the day. It is after sunrise, especially hours 10 AM - 2 PM where the full spectrum of sunlight including UVA and UVB is highest, where people are exposed to UVA and UVB and can get sunburned. Another side effect from UVA and UVB rays is acceleration of the process of developing cataracts specifically in people with blue or green eyes that have less melatonin than brown eyes.

I find it very useful in the treatment of auto immune/ulcerative conditions, temporomandibular joint/muscular pain problems, and general wound healing both osseous and soft tissue. I have also used it to recover function in damaged motor and sensory nerves provided they were not transected. I used it on myself following shoulder surgery. I got into researching red light/NIR therapy about a year ago and purchased panels that do two wave lengths in the red and two in the infrared spectrum and the results have been amazing. You do need to buy products from reputable companies that are being honest about the power (irradiance) of the devices or you won’t get any effects especially if you’re trying to reach beneath the surface of the skin. There are several great channels dedicated to testing and reviewing these devices from multiple companies to help you find good devices in your budget. Just because a device/bulb puts out red light does not mean you’re getting the right red wavelengths. It’s kind of like you can turn on a radio but you’ll only get music if you know how to turn to the right numbers on the dial where radio stations exist.

I spend many hours outside almost every day. Today I was out walking for 3 hours in 19 F weather. But the sky was overcast and gray. Clouds. Some days its 5 hours, esp when I go up to AT&T to go pay my internet bill. That is a far walk! Try to do it on a hopefully nice day too but with winter here I try to pay a few months at a time so I don't have to try walking there on icy sidewalks! But you can be outside all day in the sun in summer & your sleep will be horrid insomnia if you are low on iron or copper or even potassium! So sleep issues is not always the lack of melatonin.

Had a podcast playing for awhile but wasn't looking at it at all. But I still wake up numerous times during the night and have sleep issues. It goes with the conditions I mentioned.. @@sarahb.6475 Autism is tied in with your mitochondria so anything that you can do to help the mitochondria should help relieve some of your symptoms. For some people living far from the equator it's a light box. For other people getting natural NIR light will help a lot. I went and bought a small IR/NIR unit to help skin healing and rev up my mitochondria. I have metabolic syndrome which is a mitochondrial disease. One thing that you can do right away is replace your LED lights with ones that give off "warm light". We already get too much blue light late in the day right before bedtime from electronic devices which interferes with sleep. Another thing that might help is sitting in front of a light box. I have a sister I bought a light box for since she had a bad case of SAD and it really helped her. My children are both on the autism spectrum. My son also has ADHD and bipolar type 1. When he was younger I had him on a strict schedule so that he could sleep better. No TV/ video games/ computer use an hour prior to bedtime. A half hour before bedtime Craig was given a hefty dose of 6 mg of melatonin with SleepyTime Tea that had chamomile and valerian in it. A half hour later he would get drowsy and he had to go to bed with no delays. Following that ritual meant that he would get a solid eight hours of sleep with no grogginess in the morning. For a while I was debating whether I should move to the Deep South or a State that gets loads of sunlight for Craig's health. Craig is now living in a state with loads of sunlight which helps him out a lot. Interestingly, many females in my family and my two children, a son and daughter, have hyper flexibility. This is the sort of thing you see in dancers, acrobats and gymnasts. My children were simply told to never hyper extend any joints since that could cause cumulative damage and they listened to me. People like that are incredibly graceful. In my case I had the bad combination of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and a severe deficiency of Vitamin D3 since I live in the northern continental USA. Vitamin D is used in 300 enzymes. I was taking Vitamin D but not enough of Vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is linked to metabolism, anemia and bone health. Once I was no longer deficient in Vitamin D3 - Vitamin K2 MK-7 I started sleeping really well. I haven't had good sleep since I was six years old. My CKD is better too. I got some hefty iron infusions and two months later my iron levels are in the normal range. Now that my nutritional deficiencies are taken care of and I am getting IR and NIR light treatments my metabolism has increased to normal levels and I am losing weight. My father was on the autism spectrum and he could NOT stop thinking about all the bad things that happened to him in his life. I got him N- Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) 1000 mg/day which he started taking. As long as he took NAC my father was not bothered by these perseverent negative memories and was a LOT happier. NAC is very safe and great for brain health. If you are taking nitrogen based medications like nitroglycerin or MAO inhibitors you cannot take NAC. NAC and acetaminophen cancel each other out. Since I can't take NSAIDS and I don't want to take narcotics for pain relief I can't take NAC since acetaminophen is the only pain reliever left I can use.

Thank you for this podcast today doctor been and I encourage you to do more of this type of thing which is very healing --both literally and metaphorically. I have heard a similar talk on med cram but I believe you explained it much better. Following his talk I would sit in the Sun and then I stopped doing it and now after your talk, I immediately went out in the sun but it's already midday. I still think that's better than nothing especially cuz he did say it depends on the amount of sun and the intensity as created by the State u inhabit. For example if you live in in Texas where we've had 80 degree weather this winter, u have a more intense sun exposure. I have a question: you said a six-year-old versus a sixty-year-old had so much more infrared being displayed on their skull. Do you mean that they absorbed it better or do you mean they expose themselves to more Sun than the old person and so had more infrared or do you mean that it actually stays in the skull and so the six-year-old was able to retain the infrared longer than a sixty-year-old???? YOU did no explanation of that and I would appreciate an explanation. Having said that, you reminded me of a course I took from a semi blind person decades ago: he told us to close our eyes and sit in front of the Sun and move our head from left to right for a 5 to 10 minutes. HE called it sunning your eyes. I do recall that the infrared go through the eyelid and having the eyelid down prevents you from harming your eyes from looking into the Sun. It's a WIN WIN😀 Someone said they had an infrared fireplace and I'm going to look for that online and see if I can buy it and I hope that they don't lie about it!! I know there's infrared saunas as well but as regards covid --I read that a regular sauna and not the infrared was the best for killing off the spike protein & helping you detox. I am going I am going over to Lowe's and see if I can buy some of the lamps and light bulbs that were suggested by the people who make comments. YOU didn't really address sunglasses or transition glasses but I'm hoping that although they keep out ultraviolet light, hopefully they let in the infrared lite. Thx
