This video actually says a lot. What people don’t notice is that it doesn’t matter whether you go to school or become an idol, life is hard these days. Everyone’s lives are so career focused. Instead of playing resting and studying a bit, the students go to school, attend cram school then again study at home. There’s clearly a difference between elementary school kid and the middle schoolers.

It makes me really sad that the high school student skips dinner so she can keep studying without getting tired despite the fact that even with that “saved” time, she still isn’t sleeping until 10 or 11. When asked about how she relieves stress, she didn’t even have an answer - just recalled something that motivated her to work harder than she already is. Her teacher must have been worried about her. Expectations on Korean students are too high - I hope she’s healthy and can find time to rest. It hurts to know that regardless of choosing idol life or retaining life as a student, a lot of Korean kids really aren’t living as children when they’re high school aged

That kind of strict school routine is really common in Asia, but sadly, we cannot also do anything about it. Most parents are also pressuring their child on their studies with high expectation, it’s like students are just forced to motivate themselves to keep on going.

Not only in Korea but in Asia generally. Even more when you're a medical student. The fact that even socializing is limited aside from sleeping because of the demand you have to study. TBH, I even experienced sleeping for only 30 minutes because I have to study the entire night for our Anatomy test the following day. What made me survived was my mindset of acing the test then afterwards, I can finally get some sleep

their education system is unbelievable & should be rethought as whole. if my kids’ nose would bleed all bc of the school & studying I would scream murder. finnish education or waldorf is the best in my opinion korean students are so strong

i feel so bad for the girl in eleventh grade, and everyone else like her. it must be so mentally tiring and i know it’s probably not going to change because of how education-focused korea is, but wow i’d probably fail if i was in her position. props to her for keeping it all together.

Like dreamies said in the clip, idols life aren’t that easy. At the beginning , the high sch girl also mentioned that the artists on screen look like they are enjoying their lives at best. We might think they have a very unchallenging job but tbh their youthful lives have been sacrificed in the practice room. For normal children like us, we own our time. We could stop studying when we don’t feel like learning but idols are not that way. They have to keep up with schedule provided or they will lose track. But after all everyone is a youth trying to pursue dreams in respective ways. I deeply hope those narrow-minded persons could understand this logic.

Sure money and fame sounds nice but when you have to constantly worry about everything you say and do bc you're constantly being monitored and watch, have to keep up with grueling schedules and so many other things, the simplicity life as a "normal" person becomes a dream to them

As a Jaemin-biased, I teared up when he said that the fans is what keeps him going on in his job. i rly cried in that part just seeing how cute jisung looked made me cry and how adorable harang said it

It somehow feels wildly intimate to listen to them talk about their daily life…There must be so much pain and hardship we don’t even see, but it’s nice to kind of get a glimpse of what their life is like, it makes me feel closer to them:) In the end we‘re all just teenagers doing our best to cope

"if you forget [your goal], life will be even harder." what renjun said made me reflect on my own life. ahhh this episode was deep and heartwarming. i wish everyone the best in all their endeavors!🤗

i think a lot of people have this idea that idols are living just a luxurious life without spending sweat and being tired which is an entirely wrong thought. idols have to risk their whole youthful life with the uncertainty of successfully debuting; and even after their debut, they have to keep their image clean because even the smallest mistake would create a big issue. they leave their families (foreign members were the most affected tbh) and sometimes have schedules and practice from dawn to dusk and overnight. i wish NCT DREAM and the whole NCT a really smooth and successful idol life and good health.

No nct127 has a full album and repackage coming this year. Also NCT2021. I swear he has not rested for at least 3 months in the past 3 years😭

헉 힐링영상..미루고 미루다 드디어 봤는데 아이들 앞에서 순수하게 자기들의 이야기를 들려주는 모습을 보니 뭔가 울컥하고 아이들이 자신의 이야기를 말할 때는 또 나를 보는 것 같아서 공감되고 슬프다..각자 힘듦이나 위로 방식이 다른 거 보니 새삼 또 신기하네

머리가 고생하는거vs몸이 고생하는 거네...둘다 힘들지..

Renjun reminding himself of what his goals are before sleeping and what Jaemin said that you have to have something you love to hold on so you can go forward even when the situation's hard, they both remind me of how my mind wanders off when I can't sleep, just thinking of what I want in my life in the future and what I want to achieve in the career I want so I can go on and not give up. This is why these two are on the list of my biases in nct. I relate to them sm and thay inspire me too, like a looot! I just love them ( ⚈̥̥̥̥̥́⌢⚈̥̥̥̥̥̀)❤️

Same, like these 2 may look so different in the outside. One is labelled as the weird introvert and the other is the innocent boy. But truly these 2 are pretty similar with each other, they are very mature and they know themselves well. Not saying that the other doesn't have this admirable side, haechan and mark, we know how they are. Jisung has already begun to show maturity in the recent years. And chenle and jeno also have an amazing sense of self. However, these stands out the most with their sensitivity and these 2 are my "biases" in the dreamies.

this is a great content tbh. everyone thinks being an idol is about practicing and then boom your perform on stage. but nobody knows the effort they put, the uncertainties they faced of debuting and even after debuting. I suddenly remembered that renjun said they were supposed to debut before 127.. can u imagine how johnny felt after training for almost 10 years? If I were him, I'd pack my bag but him being Johnny Suh didnt gave up on his dreams although his friends as in exo debuted first Plus what the dreamies faced after turning 20 was hella scary. debuting and then theres nothing planned for them. The best decision SM ever made was making dream a fixed unit

Yeah but Johnny didn’t stay in SoKor the entire 10 years, he went back and forth to Chicago and even graduated College. Dreamies were pressured to at least finish middle school before they had to drop out and attend online classes just to receive their high school diploma. If they didn’t debut or were unsuccessful after all these sacrifices, they would’ve been considered as failures (as an adult) if they returned to ‘normal student routine’.

이 말에 공감해요. 저는 개인적으로 드림이들이 유년시절에 대해 미디어에서 얘기할 때 지나치게 '불쌍하게' 묘사되어서 항상 아쉬움이 있었어요. 평범한 학창시절을 보내지 못한 건 안타깝지만 그걸 불쌍하게 여길 필요는 없고, 단지 그냥 다른 유년기를 보냈구나 받아들여졌으면했거든요. 그래서 이 컨텐츠 역시 비슷한게 드림이들 불쌍한 사람들로 만들려나보다..라는 생각이 들어서 보기싫은 맘이 컸는데, 그러지 않아 한결 맘이 놓이네요.

Among idols who are lovey dovey with their fans, I think Jaemin is one of few idols who genuinely love their fans that much. He looks so genuine when he said fans are what he holds onto to keep going. Don't ever hurt this boy, his love for his fans are so huge you can really break his heart if you hurt him even only as fans

@@jespy218 idols do date and fall in love and all that but they do it without the public knowing. And then when they’re in their thirties/forties, that’s when they settle down. I’ve seen a lot of Korean celebrities do this, I feel like most do a good job of keeping their famous lives and family lives completely separate and they raise their children in a normal, grounded way.
