Great review! Loved your wife’s red lip! 💄 I could tell that piece of chicken was dry by just looking at it. The short rib and the lamb looked absolutely delicious! I am going on NCL next month and we have Modernos booked! Super excited!!

I don't know why people are complaining about the price. Brazillian steakhouses are always expensive. Anyway, we're going on a music festival cruise in a month and booked this. We eat after a day of excursions so we should come good and hungry. 😋

Most of the food looked tasty but I just can’t eat enough anymore to justify $60 (with tip) PP. Especially if it’s not absolutely fantastic. I’d have been full with just the salad and a slice of filet mignon. That caramelized banana tart looked good, but I’m pretty sure it was being served in the MDR too at some point. As always, Joanne’s honesty is very welcome, and I appreciate your videos. 😊

Yeah I agree it's definitely on the high side- it was $20 a person the last we tried (about 5 years ago), and unfortunately that seems to be the case with all the cruise lines. Specialty steakhouses are all now around $50 and even higher. Thank you so much Sally for your comment as always! 😊

We went Brazilian for our last dinner on Norwegian cruise. Been eating steak just about every night on the cruise so I wasn't expecting anything exceptional... so just ate a little of whatever they brought. Then one server brought filet mignon which is my favorite... so I took a big slice. The next server brought pineapple so I tried eating pineapple with filet mignon. Ho! The combination was great! Absolutely delicious! So I took another slice of pineapple and called the filet mignon server back and took another big slice. Ho! I was a happy eater that night! Loved their sushi too!

Our cruise was on the Norwegian Breakaway cruise ship in the Mediterranean about a month 'n half ago. Yeah! Luv that filet mignon and pineapplr combo!

What specialty restaurants would you choose if you have to pick two? I'm travelling next week and i'm not 100% sure Great videos as always, very complete!

Thank you very much! 😊 Cagney's is really good, and Moderno's is a great choice as well if you liked the looks of that salad bar & the meats. If you enjoy French food, Le Bistro is quite delicious as well. We definitely do Cagneys as one of the choices, and then either Moderno or Le Bistro 🙂

I love my steak medium rare. My husband says I should go into a pasture and just cut it off a cow and eat it there. He’s such a goofball.

Our last ncl was about 4 years ago, Escape. We went to Moderno (part of the dining package, but I think we had to go out of pocket for one or both kids). I guess they had had some complaints b/c they kept asking us, 'is the meat rare enough? is it ok? etc.'. So a lot of the meat was closer to rare-medium rare. It was awesome. Many love Cagney's the best but I'll take moderno. The salad bar alone is awesome. I have noticed at these places that they tend to only make one pass with a meat, so best to ask for extra. They seem to always get annoyed if you want them to make a second pass of everything...

Yeah that salad bar is really delicious 😋 Yeah I can imagine if they're really busy they might not like to make multiple passes, but we'd leave the card on the green side and they'd keep coming over until we're like "no mas!" lol

I was on the NCL app this morning as we are heading out on the NCL Epic in February 2023 and noted that the price has increased to $70 pp +20% gratuities.

This is the way that meat typically is served at Brazilian "Rodizio-style" steakhouses. This way, you can try everything as many times as you want. You will definitely not leave hungry from any Brazilian steakhouse unless you choose to!

1:13 im gonna take ALL mozzarella balls.. CUZ I LOVE MOZZARELLA CHEESE... (the white big piece in water) 2:18 the sushi at left is the only one i like there.. expect the eggs.... But i also like the other 2... i just take the .... hmmm.. 🥒 out and the avocado.... 2:21 i end ip take them all.. lol 4:27 how did that taste? 7:09 reminds me on a food recipe we have... a chicken like that.. but with some cream chesse mixed with idk.... in the middle.. and wrap bacron around them.... (taste very good.. you should try it at home) but idk if its a recipe or if it just a food recipe my cousin made lol..... and some pasta/spaghetti... and take the bacon/chicken fatty juice...

It was pretty good mashed potatoes- not super garlicky. That's interesting chicken with bacon & cream cheese- sounds good with that juicy pasta 😋

There is a Brazilian restaurant not far from us. I’m nervous about going there. Why? Brazilian restaurant. What if I find a small hair in a dish? I digress. Another excellent video. Keep up the great work! Joanna, your food descriptions and critiques are so succinct. Do you have a culinary background? I know it’s all you care to eat,, but it seems the meat portions offered are quite small. Is it okay to ask for something larger than mosquito-sized? In a few days we’re heading down to New Orleans to our first Carnival Cruise, aboard Carnival Glory, stopping in Cozumel, Belize and Roatan (haven’t been to Roatan since about 1986). David and Joanna, Shelley and I wish you a very merry and joyous Christmas.
