nobody out 130 comments mentions osu trailed by just 4 points when they were forced to begin fouling as the clock ran down to zero. sc is fortunate they have so much talent, tremendous recruiting ability, and they are a NC caliber team and coach to be certain. but; the two high scoring high rebounding beavers were hit with pfs early and often in the first half. officials dictated again, you can NOT explain that away. osu had an incredible season, they again were up against more than a great opponent.

Wow amazing performance by the south Carolina Women team this afternoon was a tough and physical and mental game tonight but by the end of the clock they came out in top.Hopefully they will win the championship this year. Great contributions tonight and efforts from Ashlyn,Kamilla ,Te-hina and Tessa Johnson tonight.But for me the MVP player goes to Kamilla her 12 points lead South Carolina to the victory and prevented them from being eliminated. But on the defense end this afternoon was a big and great game coming from Ashlyn Watkins with 14 rebounds and 4 blocks she did amazing work on the defense end . The defense MVP goes to Watkins tonight. This is a great afternoon for Gamecocks fans and Dawn Stanley as well.

Well done Dawn and team. Pure class

The SC interior defense is top notch. LSU can MAYBE give them a game. I don't see any team left that can score consistently on them inside.

These refs were one of the worst I've seen this season. Bad calling on both sides.

well beers was whistled in the first minute, and the sc guard laid it in underhanded. no foul. but, stanford gets away with the same favorable officiating too. very proud osu had a tremendous year, and they all return. the beavers got screwed to begin the tournament, they should have been in the moda center.

You're right: Chloe didn't play well today. She started but had 2 points, 1 turnover, and 0 rebounds. I disagree with reducing her minutes after one bad game though. No one on the team, with the exception of Sania who was 3 of 5, made at least half of their shots. Chloe was 2 of 3 from the floor and had 5 rebounds in only 12 minutes against Indiana. And she outplayed Ashlyn. But, Ashlyn played much better today and played more minutes. Chloe will play better next game, but whether she does or not, Coach Staley will know who deserves more minutes and who does not.

Dawn has a tendency to stick with her starters even when they aren’t playing well. Last year she kept on starting Kierra Fletcher over and over when she just wasn’t performing. As the stakes get higher, it’s sort of risky going with Chloe

Iowa will not beat SC if they meet. Caitlin will score 30 points, and they will still lose. SC DEFENSE WILL SHUT DOWN THE OTHER PLAYERS. This is not last year when they didn't have a outside game. Yes, they had a off day shooting the 3 today. But don't over estimate your chances against the best, or one of the best defenses in the game.

NCST will take SC down and advance to the finals, IMO. That said, I think it’s an even match up at all positions through 7 deep. Going to be a really good game. I just think NCST is going to continue to surprise, much like Iowa last year.

yep, controlled the game from the start. officials can, and will, set the tone and play a large factor in team sports. dumped pro ball decades ago, love college games; but TV?MSM always has an agenda. i can't watch because i know my beavers killer combo are gonna get slapped by both the refs and opposing players.

Glad to see Cardoso is playing aggressive basketball without crossing the line into thuggery like she did earlier in her career. I think she learnt a valuable lesson when she played for her country in the Olympic qualifiers and spent most of her time on the bench due to foul trouble. The three point shot to start the game was a warning shot to the rest of the field. No weaknesses this year Only way they will lose is if they get a raw deal from refs (not outright bad calls Just the 50/50 class go against them) PLUS the other team shoots the lights out like Villanova '85
