The NFL is one of the best-run businesses of all-time, because it only has 32 Owners, 1 NFLPA, and Roger Goodell. Clear Leadership. So yeah it would be smart if the NCAA did something like that. I’m sure that will not happen. 😆 “A below-average Government is better than the Wild West.” Just came up with that quote 😎

The NCAA should be disbanded an then start over. One organization for football, one organization for basketball, one organization for baseball. Then have a Brand new non-profit, no-politics organization for the rest of the sports.

Idk how unprofitable sports get to share in the profits from the AD. In no business model does it make sense ever. But neither does the national soccer team split amongst the women and men. It's sports welfare essentially where thrre seems to a desire for "equity" which is far different than "equality". In this sense equity is the self proclaimed right to have access to half of everything whereas equality is the right to access the same resources and opportunities and then earn what you receive. So they've capped the players at $22M. Their services have already been budgeted and locked 🔒 in for 10 years. - Annual cap in athlete pay is is 22% or $21M - $5M in annual exceptions available per school - NCAA can renegotiate the terms in 10 years - State law rules ALL - Nothing on Title 9 - Additional 10-12M in expenses annually per school - Est. $30M in expenses annually for P4 schools - Est. to be 20% of the A.D. annual budget - Unlimited scholarships for ALL While the schools can run it all the way up 📈 with digital, streaming, TV, video games, etc. My understanding is they're gonna bring the boosters/collectives internal and put a budget and salary cap on them. But state law is gonna rule all. A school like Tennessee just beat the case with the NCAA. So they can do what they want as dictated by their state law (that they wrote). If your state gets behind you, you can beat the feds.

College football and basketball is irreparably broken. It will be impossible to fix because top players will always demand more money than average athletes. Bidding wars will frequently occur. In addition, only men's football and basketball are profitable. Women's athletics and most other men's sports are not going to be able use football and basketball money.

Here’s my proposal, make the NCAA its own separate thing from the institution……license the name of the school and pay a percentage of the revenue to the college also…..there everybody wins, you get to have entitled kids make all the money in the world they think (they’ll give it all back anyway with no financial literacy btw) and the college will not have to worry about fronting the bill for the athletic department and vice versa……..as a former athlete myself, I can completely see why Nick saban retired, this is about to be a mess, more than it already is

Sounds like I'll be "transitioning" to women's sports and get me some juicy payouts. Men will dominate both women and men's sports now.

On the contrary. This is the long overdue feeder division that will improve professional sports. We need sports tiers and this is a step in that direction.
