NCAA 06 came out right before my senior year of high school. My brother and I used to go crazy with the created teams.

This game and NFL 2K5 are the greatest American football games of all time.

The highlight reel on the main menu and the amazing soundtrack really set this one apart from the other ncaa football games. I was always disappointed they never brought it back.

Heya! Nice video. I still play on a fat PS2 and I realized with coach contracts off, I believe the prestige rating is only for not getting fired. I've used "coach prestige" during off-season recruiting and been dinged for it, when I'm a two or three star program. It isn't a gimmee or easy early on, unless in a power 5 coference. In my humble opinion, of course.

The create a signs do show up in game really and there is different ones depending on what you do performance wise. But I still have this game for ps2 and it’s amazing!

I absolutely loved this game. I’d SERIOUSLY consider giving a toe to have a perfect PS2 set up that doesn’t require adapters (that don’t even make it look like it did on a CRT TV like they’re supposed to) and this game. Huge part of my childhood here.

You’ve probably heard this 100 times but you should really get the NCAA Next mod for this game.

The base game is still incredible and I’ve played for years since I was a kid the next mod is cool but if you have endless fun with the base game kinda no point if you have no experience with an emulator and the set up is very complicated

Once you play later ea games, you get fustrated with the limitations but its still got that ambiance to it thats unmatched.

Leave coach contracts ‘on’ then if you get fired just create a new coach and assign him to the school that fired you. That’s how I tackle my rebuilds

That’s definitely the best way to go about it! If you have coach contracts “off” then coach prestige will always be maxed out making it easier to recruit

I love this game so much. Would definitely play dynasty on this with a created team before I played a dynasty on 14. I prefer the season long recruiting in 06 as well. My OG PS2 gave out on me a few months ago…might have to buy a PS2 and get back into it. Also…I forgot about the sign making in this and I nearly spit my drink when I saw that.

Create a team was awesome in those days. So quick and easy. I don't think Team builder offered that much more when you consider it was less convenient to use.

Pretty solid game for that era never played any ncaa football games yet instead I grabbed a Madden 04 🏈 another classic game definitely want to pick this one up next time I go keep up the content bro 😎 I look to start my own Chanel soon with all types of sports content 💯

This is the best college football game, to me! I really like the in-season recruiting and the recruiting in general. I found that its the best balance, the earlier games are not involved enough and the later ones are just too involved. This game has the best recruiting of all the NCAA football games. The impact players are the best as well, they make plays without completely taking the game over. You don't live and die by them, they just add sometimes. There is no "momentum" even though there really is, unseen. 06 has the perfect balance here again, in later games you can just forget winning the game if the computer gets ahead of you by a touchdown or two. Dynasty and Race for the Heisman are so much fun!!! You can get 10 seasons deep in a dynasty with little effort, there is such little amount of frustration compared to a lot of video games or later NCAA football games. I set my quarters to 2:00 and play on All American for fun or Heisman for authenticity.

They come in 99 Speed 99 accelerate 99 agility they a cheat code in the game 😭

can't even hold the button and press a direction to change players in this one have to cycle back and forth through the entire team

With the updated jerseys and fields and updated recruiting with the next mod it’s even more cooler! The games after 06 adds spring game and practice etc the features are lacking in ncaa 14 people only like it cuz it’s a recent gamr
