well some people coulda been watching nbc with b&w.....This was once a time where color televisions were more expensive then most television's being sold in the 1950's and the 60's. Then as time went on color became more and eventually more affordable for citizens to buy!

NBC was born from RCA President David R Sarnoff which is why RCA, GE and Westinghouse all owned the network. Pat Weaver made the peacock it’s logo.
