At 5:12 is the original NBC News logo lettering without a voice over announcer, and at 5:21 is the same but in black and white and out of sync with a voice over announcer at the end.

I'm from the UK so I don't know a great deal about NBC but looking at this video it seems they used two different logos at the same time, the Peacock and the one with just the letters, is that right?

NBC was born from RCA ‘s President David Sarnoff and was launched in Nov of 1926. General Electric and Westinghouse Corp. joined with RCA ( Radio Corporation of America). The peacock was born from Pat Weaver who thought since RCA made the first color TV to use it as their logo “ Brought to You in Living Color.” Also listen to the chimes - G-E-C. This is the National Broadcasting Company. The NBC Snake was the other letter - This has been a Color Presentation of the NBC Television Network

7:51 Most of the NBC affiliates adopted the "proud as a peacock" jingle using THEIR call letters--except the one in San Diego (KCST-TV, Ch. 39 [now KNSD-TV]). KCST had their own ad gimmick by referring to themselves as "39 ALIVE." So, in 1980, as KNBC in LA had the "KNBC Proud as a peacock" slogan, OURS was "39 ALIVE with the look of San Diego!" It was too subdued and seemed to make themselves to be very laid back. I HATED IT VERY MUCH!!!! I liked the "proud as a peacock" slogan and accompanying jingle--BIG TIME!!!!!

I must say that I took it very closely.

I saw one video about NBC where a guy said happy birthday NBC and it was an 2016 clip

NOTE: some IDs are incorrectly categorized. These are: 6:53 premiered in 75, not 76 (the logo was supposed to premier in 75); 7:32 should premier in 79, not 78 (the "Proud N" logo premiered in 79); 8:26 That ID is from 82; additionally, the one from the "Be there" campaign is from 83, not 84. Finally, the "Come home to NBC" ID from 1987 is missing entirely, not even a short bumper is in the video.
