Luka and Jokic together would be funny. Complete domination at a slow pace.

@@Bhamx2it’s because they are white and racists can’t compute a white athlete because “white people can’t jump” like the block buster, insanely popular amongst white people, movie explained. Where as the movie, “blacks can’t do arithmetic”, has not been made and would be cried about by the same white people. Crazy backwards world where the low IQ knows no skin tone. But should.

The Euros have been practicing the fundamentals for years now and its starting to show. They have a mentality that modern US born NBA players are not getting while coming up through the system. Physicality only goes so far. Both fundamentals and Physicality carry the game. Coaches here in the US need to get-back-to-the-basics.

If the Mavs could just build a decent team around him, if you compare the Mavs' roster to any other young superstar, the Mavs roster is pretty bad.

As much as i love Mavs he should leave it. It will be hard to win it all. They need good center and defence they go for Kyrie.

@lavryq I kind of agree that going for Kyrie wasn't the best fit, they should have invested in a wing. Plus, they lost Brunson for nothing, just because the front office didn't do their job. The only silverlining so far is that Lively has been great. But overall Mavs have been undersized and struggling to keep opponents from scoring in the paint and getting rebounds - even more against bigger teams. Had they assembled a better roster maybe Luka would have won the MVP instead of Embiid.

Luka is a once-in-a-lifetime talent, but so is Nikola Jokic. Strange to have two of them at the same time, and both from Eastern Europe. How does that happen? I mean, they are arguably the two best ballers in the NBA today, at least offensively if not overall.

Bird had 4-5 other HOF's in his team, you can back your words easier when you have a really dominant team behind you, instead of having to fight with everything night in night out to win because your team can't handle a minute without you. Now tell me besides a way-past-his-prime Kyrie, who has played with Luka that will end up as a HOF, who? None.

The only player to get 200 blocks and 100 steals; and did this twice. Also has 10 scoring titles and still has the highest PPG during regular season, playoffs, and finals. @@larryhonaker7185 Luka won't be the GOAT because he doesn't plan to play as much as Lebron and has landed in a bad city to get early championship runs. He has been smocking teams with several Allstars since he's been in the league, and singlehandlely carrying a bottom tier team to the WCF in a hugely stacked west that had the Warrior as #8 and Lebron's Lakers out of PO. Give Luka a team like BOS, or Miami and whatch him demolish the league, look even now how he is holding the team without any near allstar caliber player around him (Kyrie injured), and now take a look past championship winners: -DENVER, star Jokic, roleplayers Jamaal Murray, Aaron Gordon, MPJr, KCP (all top tier roleplayers)... -GSW, Star Curry, roleplayers K.Thompson(AS), Wiggings(AS), D.Green(AS), J.Poole -MIL, Star Giannis, roleplayers K.Middleton(AS), Jrue Holiday(AS), Brook Lopez (former AS) -LAL, Star Lebron, roleplayers A.Davis(AS and 1st team allnba and def team), D.Howard (former AS), R.Rondo (former AS and champion), Jr Smith and Danny Green (both former champions and top role players), KCP... Luka only had an injury prone KP(former AS) and an injury prone Kyrie (former AS and champion), all the rest haven't been even close to be in All Star consideration, let alone 1st or 2nd team all NBA... good luck trying to win a championship with that.

Neither I don't think. If you watch his playstyle, its just different. The way he moves horizontally and controls the ground space is absurd. He just perfectly controls his momentum making it look "slow" but "methodical" is a better word. Other players that are more flashy isnt doing too much they just play different i guess.

@@billybadass3056 lol dawg if you ask any nba player about defense you will not hear the opinion you’re making, it’s not that players don’t play defense (some players don’t obviously not the point) it’s bc nba offenses are way more unstoppable now, early 2000’s was a lot of grit and grind offense throw it down to the post let ‘em work style. Nba offense has evolved so far from then that it is much more difficult to guard teams. I know it’s easy To look at the score and think oh they just aren’t playing defense but there is no possible way you watch modern nba games and the effort players have to Put in to even think about stopping guys like Luka.
