Mavs had a standing offer from after the finals to djj at 27/3, same as naji marshall got. When fa opened and he hadnt accepted it, mavs couldnt wait around and risk being left out, so they moved on to naji for same money

He also said that a new beginning after what happened with the warriors will do him good (just like Kyrie). The big thing for klay is that the difference between lebron and luka is that even if its roleplayers that loses mavs a game, or kyrie or whoever, Luka will always take the blame, will always say that HE needs to do better. He is like a captain in soccer, he is the leader, got the responsibilty and takes the teams blame on his shoulders. Think thats one of the reasons roleplayers and even kyrie do so well on mavs, and are not afraid to take shots and expand their game. Take exum, known as a useless shooter, luka says if open u shoot, u wont be blamed, and the dude shoots 40%+ from 3 during RS. DJJ and PJW isnt amazing shooters, but they shoot if open cause thats what luka wants. Sometimes they shoot good, sometimes bad, but if they dont take the shots they will be gone like delon wright

U must’ve just started liking the Mavs bc they all take the blame starting w/ j Kidd. The head coach. Luka is my favorite player & had been since Dirk retired but stop pipe’n it like Luka is above everyone else or like he’s such a leader that he can draw up plays & tell players to shoot & they shoot 40%+ from 3 bc Luka said it’s ok just shoot it. 😂 weird flex for sure! The Mavs are a family & that whole organization protects its family!! It’s not the Luka Doncic show. Everyone has a voice!!

Hes a spurs fan. Obviously, when he was a kid or growing up as an adult, OKC did not exist. Once the thunder got they team he never liked the westbrook , durant duo.... but he enjoys the sga okc thunder so im sure he is rooting for both now.

Klay went to Dallas because he wants to win a title. The Mavs just went to the Finals. The Lakers was a playin team and lost in the first round of the playoffs. They didn’t get any better and LeBron James will be soon 40. Maybe he retires after the next season and Klay is stuck there three more years with Anthony Davis and a bunch of not so good role players? Klay is smart. His chances in Dallas are far better. He was probably watching the finals thinking if I was there instead of PJ Washington or DJJ I would made a bunch of 3s.

SKIP, THE 2014 FINALS WAS THE BIGGEST MARGIN EVER BECAUSE THE AIR CONDITIONING WENT OUT AND LEBRON CRAMPED UP WORSE THAN EVER WITH THE HEAT DOWN 2 POUNTS WITH 4 MINUTES LEFT. LEFLOP WAS AT HALF SPEED, THE REST OF THE SERIES. AND IN GAME 1, THE SPURS WON BY 15 AFTER BEING UP 2 POINTS WITH 4 MINUTES LEFT.

Skip, the issue with the sign and trade was the Warriors want no part of D’Lo, been there done that. They couldn’t wait to get rid of him the first time so much so that after signing him to a 4 year max contract they dumped him on Minnesota after just half a season. The Laker trade was never going to happen and Klay had no way of going there as a free agent because LAL is capped out. So Dallas or maybe Orlando were Klay’s only two choices.
