These 1995-96 Seattle Supersonics my all time favorite team all sports making it all the way to NBA Finals after disappointing 1st round losses last 2 yrs prior to.
After this game, it was completely over for the sonics.
Shawn Kemp only appearance in the NBA Finals of his career. He could only take the bulls to game 6. Nice effort to avoid the sweep.

Nobody could ever take MJ to a Game 7 in the Finals.
Sonics came back and got the victory even thought they lost in 6 games.
Great game by the Sonics but they waited to late to start playing well. Once they went down 0-3 it was over, they weren't going to win 4 straight.

Once they were down 0-3, Gary Payton INSISTED on guarding Jordan ... it got them 2 wins
the 1993 suns and 1996 played the bulls EQUALLY as REALLY well in the finals because the suns if i'm right allowed 41.5 points a game from michael jordan but lost by a combined 10 points if i'm right they won by a combined 16 points and the sonics won by a combined 32 points lost by a combined 55 points and allowed 27.3 points a game from michael jordan
If I recall correctly, this was only the second time all season the Bulls actually lost 2 games _in a row._ They went from 45-3 to 45-5 [with headlines in Chicago, "What's wrong with the Bulls?" LOL], and right here. The Seattle Supersonics split the season series 1-1 and were the only team in the playoffs to give the Bulls more than 1 loss in a series. One could easily argue that in another era, or even a year earlier/later, this particular Sonics team would have won it all. The Bulls were just _that dominant_ in '95-'96.
Only the lakers went to 5 games in the NBA Finals vs the bulls in 1991.

defense wasn't any tougher... their footwork and handle was very basic compared to modern era.
2:54 those are the types of chase defense Jordan has to do if he plays in this era.
