The goal from Robin van persie the one were he sort of dives and scores with the header. That match was against spain and the Netherlands won by 5-1 in the world cup. In the European cup final spain and the Netherlands played against each other as well, spain won that match by 0-1 in extra time, even tho the Netherlands played better. The 5-1 was therefore a great comeback, spain was knocked out of the world cup in the group stages

What's so amazing about Liverpool's comeback against Barcelona and Tottenham's Lucas Moura scoring the hat trick to go into the UCL Final happened within 24 hours of one another (My memory's little fuzzy on this). It was just an amazing sequence of events.

They missed a fantastic game between Portugal and Spain. The game ended up in 3-3 with Ronaldo socring the 3 portuguese goals (one of them was a banger in the end). When Ronaldo did that even the people in Times Square celebrated

Aye man, I started watching Futbol about 2 years ago. My only regret is not starting sooner. I do hope you enjoy the sport, I recommend watching some game highlights from the Premier League, all the games tend to be amazing.

He was only 17 years old in that clip, playing for Brazil in the 1958 World Cup in Sweden. He is still the youngest player ever to score a goal in the World Cup. At the age of 17, he also led Brazil to World Cup victory and dominance. And in that clip right after at the 4:20 minute mark, that was Pele scoring a goal via a header in a match at the 1970 World Cup...a World Cup that he AGAIN help lead Brazil to winning that World Cup title.

Just as MJ is respected more than Lebron because his accomplishments were executed during a much more physical NBA (though MJ was probably protected by refs more than most other players), Maradona was even more respected because in his era there were goons employed by teams as soccer players strictly to take out the best player on the other team; and unless a player was left at the edge of death or at least with obvious broken bones, they were not going to pull the yellow card on the goons (I'm not exaggerating by much). Maradona's running style had to incorporate jumping hurdles just to avoid bone crunching tackles meant to hurt him. The game was more boring as most of the top players were always injured. Maradona was so beat up in his career that he got hooked on painkillers, and he was never able to get rid of his drug habit. In his era, the GOAT conversation was strictly between Pele and Maradona. He was the only superstar on the Argentina team, and yet he took his team all the way to win a World Cup, something even Messi has not been able to do though came close twice. Messi is now the GOAT but it's difficult to compare players across eras, especially as younger players had the advantage of taking the innovations of the pioneering players, and could then have the time to improve on them and add their own innovations.
