It's amazing how you can go back and watch old 2k videos and still see the same problems that have been plaguing this series year after year. The developers have never been able to build on past accomplishments, they only develop new problems. It's truly sad. I have been playing basketball games on consoles since the late 90's and it's amazing that in 2014, some of the same problems still exist. Why on earth did they focus on the "flashy pass" shot stick this year? Why do they focus on cut scenes, and story lines, and "lighting" and all sorts of other crap when the problems are with the game play? The cut scenes, story lines and "lighting" are all great additions, but they get old extremely fast. The game play is where the bread is buttered and unfortunately the basketball genre has lagged in this department for years. I hate to say it, but this might be the last year I ever purchase the game. I am tired of all of the problems being replaced with new problems year after year. Maybe we're all asking for too much, but when I pay $60 of my hard earned money, I don't want to see problems that seem so easy to fix. Why is it so difficult for game developers to create a good basketball game?

That crap at 7:20 still happens in 2k18. I run a 5 out no motion offense to setup a pick and roll. As soon as I call Deandre to come up to screen, Austin Rivers gets the brilliant idea to flash to the high post and bring his man into the screen. Pisses me off so bad.

The Spurs player put it back in the hoop and the game thought that the Spurs scored since it went through the hoop and the last time the ball was touched it was touched by the Spurs so therefore the Bulls inbound the ball. Wow 2k9 was a fucked up game lol

you are right on man. i have thought it would be nice if there was a defensive recovery slider. i think that is one of the biggest problem with the gameplay. i would suggest putting up a video dedicated to the insane defensive recovery problem. because even if parker stayed in his stop on that duncan double team, his man would still be able to fly over and get a hand in your face or block you (if the AI was down and trying to win the game of course).

This is an excellent video my dude. I enjoy 2k alot and it has alot of good qualities, but shit like this is a prime example of why it can't be considered a true sim. Lets not even start on the fact that there are no loose-ball fouls called, your CPU teammates do absloutelyh nothing as far as interior defense or staying with their man. Good video, hopefully it sheds some light onto some of the flaws in this game.
