I have the opposite problem, because with meter on and latency you have to release the shot meter at the wrong point. I use no meter and always miss my first shot but then I calculate for the latency and shoot well after.

So to confirm the boost 20% does not increase your green window( make the green visual on the meter larger) but instead it increases the make percentage you get for landing in the green section of the release?

See I don’t get it bc mind you if you go back on to last 2k the no meter over there feels hella better it’s like in park and rec it give you all this feedback but would be hitting the same release jumpshot in your my court and go then go to park it be playing with your jump shot smh I never had that issue on 23 but 24 need an update on the no meter at least switch it like it back

With this 2k the latency is worse than previous 2ks due to cross gen now, but anyone know for the No meter increase. Do you need to have “jump shot meter” OFF and “shot meter input type” to ALL? Because I like having the meter for pro stick only.

I am assuming it hasn’t been confirmed if keeping shot meter “on” but only on pro stick function you do not know if you get the boost with shooting with “shot button”? (Meter is only on with right stick)

once you learn the shots based on visual cues you'll green most shots. The visual cues trnslate to learn the button release timing. Ive never liked the addition of shot meter. Its for bums

They do help with green window size. If you shoot a corner three with corner specialist, the green window size will be bigger.

If the park is green or miss whats the point of the boost🤦🏾‍♂️

I was using meter at 1st shooting good turned off meter show terrible. I shoot better without the shooting boost

because there’s a base green window and then a pure green window. pure green window you make all the shots inside of and is typically in the very middle of the base green window and usually about 1/4 or 1/3 of the size depending on 3pt rating. the base green window is the earliest release timing to latest release timing that you can green but if it’s not inside the pure green window then there’s a chance that you can miss as well. this is where the term “full bar” comes from

@@nijahrellsummers6806 definitely, but during game you won’t even be able to tell bc it’s down to milliseconds. the green window itself is only 30ms wide and the pure green probably only being 1/3 of the total green window or less than

@@nijahrellsummers6806 you could also not have any pure green window. 2k labs will eventually come out with a test/vid showing what ratings you need to get a pure green window and different jump shots have different make percentage on every release timing throughout the green window. and every jumpshot has a different size green window as well. typically faster is smaller but not always. people think slower has a bigger green window when it doesn’t always, it’s just cause it’s easier to visualise and time bc it’s slower

My advice to anyone struggling with this is to try and practice with no meter in the Gatorade gym, get the timing right and you’ll be more wetter in the park than my girl after a few drinks

I'm not having any fun so far... I went from shooting 65%+ in nba2k23 with my 6'10 big with an 81 3pt to pretty much non existent shooting in 24... I shoot with no meter

I’ve tried so many jumpshots it’s so infuriating usually I find one after a couple days but I just can’t so far. Not having a MyCourt also makes it so much harder. The Gatorade facility isn’t close to game speed.

I found my shot from 2k23 but it was under a different name. Only big problem I have is this badge system which seem like a money grab to me. Or be on bronze all year smh. Because that's what will happen especially if your a MyCareer player that doesn't play park

My career players should have no issue with badging up, I literally played 10 games on all star 12 minutes and have all of mine Hof and Gold You need to do drills and both of the shooting gyms, also use the badge perks PvP players will have it the hardest with grinding badges

@@trell1021 So after making a rebirth build and have silver badges after a while they will be on bronze if you don't have floor setters which only set one badge at a time. My win percentage was over 70 percent for 2k22 and 2k23. I'm not going to the park with bronze badges fighting for my life. Na I'm good

A billion dollar GAMING company with this much input delay is absolutely unacceptable. You don't see this sort of stuff in MK, Fortnite, Street fighter, etc. Any game where things have to be line up perfectly by a fraction of a second need to have quality servers with little to no input delay.

1. People who doesn't know their timing and need the meter to actually see. 2. Having meter doesn't hurt you. You get a 20% boost for not having it, its no like your getting an -20% while using the meter. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Sadly I gotta use the meter now geesh made it harder than before to use compare to past installments

They really need to just go bac to the 2012 days of shooting its ridiculous now. Feels like im completely guessing unless i use one guy religiously the whole time i play the game. They are nba players i shouldnt have to practice 24 7 to just make a simple jumper with someone i never used. should try 2 to 3 times then be fine after if taking open shots. ridiculous how you just dont make anything unless u green it, its not realistic at all and if you actually play basketball you will no sometimes the shots you think ur gonna brick go in even tho felt off coming off your hands. And if they are gonna be that strict then add something else then slightly late or early or just having us look at arms to tell when to release its stupid. shooting a whole body motion from head to toe they need to start making it feel like a actual jumper if its gonna be this strick .... sick of this football player style of shooting ...... And show me how long im holding my button down for to bc i swear 2k doesnt no , ill hold it for one second counting outloud and will brick then hold it for one sec again and will be green makes absolutely no sense and hasnt since 2k 21 there is more jump shots taking in a game then there are peiple taking it to the hole ridiculous sick of having to win off solely driving its getting old

Not worth it, 2k servers aren’t good enough to know your shit real ear every game. Plus your release slows down on many catch animations. Keep the meter on

I’m over here greening 3s with a 60 rating! Thanks 2kLabs this helped out so much and this is the best 2k ever…… Just kidding I actually can’t hit a shot to save my life so I made a player with 99 3 rating. Long story short this game is trash

BTW, Mike Wang isn't correct at all with the 20% boost. The boost throughout the entire green window isn't meaningful unless shot timing is random. Since it is based on when we release, the boost is the result of the RNG at that release point which you are finding to be 10%, at least at this rating. I would like to see what the boost is at high shot ratings.
