i love you. never stop. lol i have a suggestion for your shooting guard role. Terrence ross is a pair of fresh legs who has a quick to learn release that WETS 3s. and he has a high vertical and will dunk over people. He can catch the lob easily as well. athletic and plays defense pretty good. good zone killer if u ask me.

Totally agree with you, here in Europe the zone is very important and the formation teams (we don´t play on High Schools) use the 1-3-1 a lot but you will never see the 1-3-1 zone on a profesional game, the most used here in european basketball is the 2-3 zone that as you said is really good.

you nailed it in the head it's really all those animations vs freedom,i mean after a month of playing a 2k game i know all the animations and i know which are good which are bad and whitch are cheese.so im forced to do all that if want to win.it's definitly better than ome years before but it's tiring.i have to say im looking forward to what live brings to the table

4:30-5:00 I feel you, Smoove. It really, really irks me that when your opponent plays the 1-3-1 zone, the game changes from one team against the other to two teams against the ball handler. As if every player on the other team suddenly becoming Bruce Bowen combined with Scottie Pippen and Dikembe Mutombo wasn't troublesome enough to deal with, suddenly you're faced with teammates who play like they want to lose. It's totally absurd.

well it works from early years up through HS and most lower divisions colleges. But when you get to the pros those corners are up and they shoot too well, plus bigger players like LBJ can make those passes over the defense. Once you get up to Div 1 college and NBA i would recommend a 2-3, it works for Syracuse and he has been on the Olympic coaching staff.

You can counter a 1-3-1 zone. Utilize the baseline and put 3 point shooters on the floor. If you have backup shooters like mike miller and nick young, you will dominate zones. So it's not really op, you just gotta think around it.

HORNS SCREEN TREY. If the shooters are covered in the corners use the double ball screen option in the play to attack the paint to finish at the rim or kick it out to the corners.

I really love the style Euro basketball involves and i hope the do it justice in 2k14 since they will have some of the top Euroleague teams. I think the reason we, as Americans, like to hate on the zone is because in the NBA players are insanely athletic and dont require as much team defense. But if i were going to coach anywhere besides the NBA i would coach a 2-3 zone

whenever you play a zone defense you should either play dependable shooters, or you "attack the seams" meaning drive between 2 defenders and draw the double team because in a zone defense someone has to commit. once you draw the double team i realize icon passing is the best way to pass out of it. believe me this works in real life and in 2k.

very true. The Suns playbook is perfect for me. Thats were i am at for my career and several plays beat any zone cause i know those plays by heart

I play a lot online with the Knicks and when someone runs a 1-3-1 zone on me I get so happy. I change my lineup to Jason Kidd, JR Smith, Steve Novak, Copeland, and Melo at the center. It's so easy to get open 3's when someone runs that zone

a 2-3 zone is based around a pg and a sg at the top of the key and a center sf and pf downlow, the guards cover from ft line to the base line and primaril;y around the arch the sf and pf guard from around their side of the hoop up to the freethrow line the center stays in the paint and plays the dominant side. a 3-2 is the pg top of the key sf and sg at the archs the sf and pf down low on opposite sides of the paint, the sg and sf are responsible from the wings to the arch the pg is resposible.
