Estou ouvindo essa lindeza em 14 de julho. A música é de 76, eu tinha 9 anos na época e sempre amei ouvir, na minha opinião é o maior sucesso da banda Nazareth. Uma pena o Dan ter partido, pois ninguém canta Love Hurts como ele. Quanto ao solo de guitarra, é um dos mais lindos que já ouvi até hj.🌷

That’s a recording. That’s perfect. No way he sounded EXACTLY like 50+yrs prior. The timing sound JUST like the recording you here on the radio

This recording was from about 2010, so maybe 35 years after the original (not 50). I haven't done the research to judge whether or not it is lip-synced. I'm guessing it was. But this singer recorded versions of this song in the same time frame that were definitely not lip-synced. There could be many reasons for lip-syncing. Don Henley lip-syncs every concert for the past several years. There is no evidence that Dan McCafferty did anything like that. So maybe time to lay off of the attacks.

Not to speak I’ll of the dead - but this guys was definitely playing a recording whilst acting. No way his voice did not change after decades. My cords callused up and I had to have the calluses and growths removed. Most do after 25+ years. Trust me, there are CHANGES

@@pugilemoltobene3708 Relax. Yes, I'm a musician. All I said was that I hadn't taken the time to do an analysis, so I'm only guessing, and I did say that it is probably lip-sync. Nor did I claim that his voice did not change over the course of 25 years? Where did I say that? All I said was that he could still sing, very well, at this time, because I've heard other recordings from the same time frame. He did not have to resort to lip-sync. If he lip-synced, it definitely was NOT because he could not sing that song impressively. I can think of five other reasons for doing it. Okay, can you settle down now?

Fil of Wings of Pegasus, does careful voice analysis before he makes the statement. I would at least compare the two. I'm happy to say probably, and not be insulted for saying that.

Nas Discotecas em final dos anos 1970 e toda a década de 1.980 esta música esteve presente. ao menos onde eu frequentava, interior do Estado de São Paulo, todas as Discotecas e rádios AM FM tocavam demais essa música.

There's no editing because it is 100% lip-synced to the original recording.. No clue why they'd do this as they sound really good "live".

@@DallasPix There are many reasons why a singer might lip-sync. Don Henly has been lip-syncing for the past several years, apparently because he can no longer sing. Dan McCafferty didn't do it for that reason, since there are verified live recordings of him singing this same song in excellent form in the time frame of this recording, around 2010.

OMG. His voice is the EXACT SAME as it was when I first heard this song when I was in high school in 1976. Amazing. And I don't see anyone lipping the lyrics with him!!!!! WHY NOT?! When I was playing this video, I was singing the entire time...amazing I even remembered the song this long...48 yrs later. The band played the song flawlessly, just like I remember it.

The thing that gets me about lip syncing is they rarely even bother to look like they are singing it with the same intensity. Maybe that's an intentional decision because they feel stupid doing it in the first place.

Yeah this is definitely a lip sync the whole band is playing to a track. There's no amplifiers. There's no cords. There's no PA speakers. Not a single microphone on the drum set. It couldn't be more obvious

This song has been covered by many artists going back to the 50's but NOBODY has ever surpassed this deep gut wrenching rendition. First heard it done when Nazareth released it in the 70's. I was in my 20'. Here I am 73 and it still goes right to my soul. A classic for sure 🌟🌟🌟😍

I was stupified to discover that it was originally an Everly Brothers song. Nazareth made the sound congruent with the lyrics IMO, so it will always be the version I want to hear.

Estou ouvindo essa lindeza em 14 de julho. A música é de 76, eu tinha 9 anos na época e sempre amei ouvir, na minha opinião é o maior sucesso da banda Nazareth. Uma pena o Dan ter partido, pois ninguém canta Love Hurts como ele. Quanto ao solo de guitarra, é um dos mais lindos que já ouvi até hj.🌷

This recording was from about 2010, so maybe 35 years after the original (not 50). I haven't done the research to judge whether or not it is lip-synced. I'm guessing it was. But this singer recorded versions of this song in the same time frame that were definitely not lip-synced. There could be many reasons for lip-syncing. Don Henley lip-syncs every concert for the past several years. There is no evidence that Dan McCafferty did anything like that. So maybe time to lay off of the attacks.

Not to speak I’ll of the dead - but this guys was definitely playing a recording whilst acting. No way his voice did not change after decades. My cords callused up and I had to have the calluses and growths removed. Most do after 25+ years. Trust me, there are CHANGES

@@pugilemoltobene3708 Relax. Yes, I'm a musician. All I said was that I hadn't taken the time to do an analysis, so I'm only guessing, and I did say that it is probably lip-sync. Nor did I claim that his voice did not change over the course of 25 years? Where did I say that? All I said was that he could still sing, very well, at this time, because I've heard other recordings from the same time frame. He did not have to resort to lip-sync. If he lip-synced, it definitely was NOT because he could not sing that song impressively. I can think of five other reasons for doing it. Okay, can you settle down now?

Fil of Wings of Pegasus, does careful voice analysis before he makes the statement. I would at least compare the two. I'm happy to say probably, and not be insulted for saying that.

Nas Discotecas em final dos anos 1970 e toda a década de 1.980 esta música esteve presente. ao menos onde eu frequentava, interior do Estado de São Paulo, todas as Discotecas e rádios AM FM tocavam demais essa música.

@@DallasPix There are many reasons why a singer might lip-sync. Don Henly has been lip-syncing for the past several years, apparently because he can no longer sing. Dan McCafferty didn't do it for that reason, since there are verified live recordings of him singing this same song in excellent form in the time frame of this recording, around 2010.
This is one of the defining moments of an era that never has and never will be compared. And that voice hasn't changed!! Thankyou so much for the memories!!!

OMG. His voice is the EXACT SAME as it was when I first heard this song when I was in high school in 1976. Amazing. And I don't see anyone lipping the lyrics with him!!!!! WHY NOT?! When I was playing this video, I was singing the entire time...amazing I even remembered the song this long...48 yrs later. The band played the song flawlessly, just like I remember it.

It sounds the EXACT SAME because it's the EXACT SAME recording you remember. This is lip synced. They didn't even try to make it look like the guitars were plugged in.

The thing that gets me about lip syncing is they rarely even bother to look like they are singing it with the same intensity. Maybe that's an intentional decision because they feel stupid doing it in the first place.

That is the original recording. He wasn’t really singing this. He had a great voice but this was a lip sync.

Eu 61 vivi esse momento maravilhoso dançando de rosto colado com um copacto rodando em uma radiola resultado disso e meu filho de 44 anos .vinicius. existia amor de verdade.
i saw then do this song at the Hollywood Bowl in the 70s. Me and my friend were the only ones there. They we re rehearsing,but they played to us like it was a real show. Awesome.
Sounds as good as the first time. Love does hurt. Nazareth was the sound in there day played the album everyday. Rock on ,
Always have loved this song. I was young and hurting when it first came out and I've kept it close in my mind and in my heart all these years since. Great guitar work!!! And those pipes!!! None better.
Nazareth "Hair of the Dog" should be in everyone's collection. A masterpiece for all time.....
My first live concert ever in Abilene, TX back in November of 1977, I was 14 and can still hear it to this day.

Yeah this is definitely a lip sync the whole band is playing to a track. There's no amplifiers. There's no cords. There's no PA speakers. Not a single microphone on the drum set. It couldn't be more obvious

This song has been covered by many artists going back to the 50's but NOBODY has ever surpassed this deep gut wrenching rendition. First heard it done when Nazareth released it in the 70's. I was in my 20'. Here I am 73 and it still goes right to my soul. A classic for sure 🌟🌟🌟😍

I was stupified to discover that it was originally an Everly Brothers song. Nazareth made the sound congruent with the lyrics IMO, so it will always be the version I want to hear.

Quantas saudades da minha juventude, e vc estava lá também, colorindo minha vida com esta música tão linda e com sua voz rouca e tão cheia de vida. Tantas saudades da minha década de 80, esta música apesar de ter nascido na década de 70, foi em 80 na minha década que ela marcou uma fase de alegrias, sonhos e tantos amigos. Como vivi tão plena meu Deus, sem vulgaridades, sem brigas, sem drogas e amando tanto as pessoas e farreando com músicas saudáveis, como esta aqui do Nazareth. Que saudades!!!!! Tudo passa nesta terra, e graças a Deus aqui não é o fim. Vamos um dia nos encontrar em algum lugar preparado por Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e lá nada é o fim tudo será para sempre. Até mais!!
