I don't understand the meaning behind these type of comments. If you want to compliment the man, then that's great, but why add the pretentious judgment at the end of the compliment? You aren't the perfect man because there is no such thing as a perfect man. People could describe you as a subpar "man" too.

its fascinating the development of a Navy Seal. Most of the stuff they did was doable for me, but I'm absolutely horrible swimming. Water, and me, was like Lead Sinker fishing. I can do it but I've always struggled with duration swimming. Cold water no problem. As an Oarsman, spring time rowing and ice hanging off ya was nothing. But if there was a half mile swim test. I'd struggle not from swimmin' but from sinking.

I worked for the "Hulk" the "Rock" and others in the NAVSEA 06Z program office in the late 80s. The Hulk was a through straight shooter and managed an office that was as tight as any ship. In my three years of working directly for him I was amazed that he had some level of knowledge regarding every ongoing subject in the office. In my 38 years of Federal service I never respected anyone as much as I did the Hulk. He and my late friend Rock were the best of the best.

As a man who is a never was nor will be.... Do we think the training is harder because men went through the early training years then went through combat/ real life scenarios then came back and knew that the mission called for harder more specific training so they turned it up and set that bar just a bit higher? Training is a Beautiful thing and the harder training is then just maybe the easier life will be when it kicks you in the BAWLS! Much Love and Respect Fam!

Military is a odd machine. Every special forces training has a regulation to follow and further guidelines, the biggest problem is the instructors. You get a lot of bad ones and the only thing they care about is washing people out. Barely made it and one instructor hated me so it was pretty damn bad. After 10 years of active duty I ended up having enough. The toxic leadership was prevalent on all levels and from what I could see every MOS/AFPC was suffering from Obama’s do more with less and this new wave of woke military. I hope we don’t get involved with Russia because we have an abundance of soft soldiers and weak leadership with politicians running the war effort.

@@Raptured_and_back I’d just came back from a 12 month remote from Osan AB Korea to go to Davis monthan Az. I’ve never seen so many article 15s issued by the commander over stuff we were encouraged to do in Korea. Moral was so bad not one person cracked a joke for the last 8 months I was there. I came back there as an E-5 to be told I didn’t deserve my rank. Many places I was stationed I could report that crap. After two enlistments I left quietly without saying goodbye to anyone.
