The featured missions include "Clean House," "The Wolf's Den," and "Going Dark." In "Clean House," players must infiltrate a large house and stealthily eliminate any threats encountered, equipped with silencers for a tactical advantage. "The Wolf's Den" mission begins with a series of home infiltrations to eliminate enemies before descending into an underground cave to locate "The Wolf." Finally, in the "Going Dark" mission, players must investigate three key locations - a clock tower, a church, and a pool - in search of hostages and vital information. Don't miss this opportunity to gain a unique perspective from a former Navy Seal as Geoff Reeves breaks down the realism and challenges of these iconic "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" missions.

    A long time ago I was playing GRAW 2 and the guy I was playing co-op with was stupid good, we played a few rounds together and it eventually came to light that he was a Vietnam Veteran/lifelong gamer with terminal Cancer. We were a solid two-man team, he would snipe guys with a 50 cal from a covered position while I'd be laying down heavy covering fire and smoke grenades, and using the recon drone to mark targets for him. He told me GRAW2 was the closest game for him to accurately depict the chaos of being up against a ton of enemies. He was a good guy with some fantastic stories. We also played quite a bit of R6 Vegas 2, and the last game we ever played was Splinter Cell Blacklist, he absolutely loved stealthy stuff. I wish he could have seen some of the games we have now like ARMA 3.

    I think the IR laser tilting thing is from Lucas Botkin who was a consultant for this game. Because these lasers are offset from the bore, the shooter has to know their holds for both windage and elevation when shooting at distance. By tilting the gun in that fashion, you orient the laser directly over the centerline of the barrel which means you no longer have to worry about windage, you just have to know your holds for elevation.

  • @alexanderperkins3346

    @alexanderperkins3346

    2 жыл бұрын

    I think that depends on how you sighted the Weapon to the IR laser. If you signed it canted then it makes sense but if it’s signed to shoot the weapon straight then you shouldn’t be canting it. The problem I have with the video about the NVGs and IR laser is the use of sighs. You really don’t have the option with nvgs because of the scope shadow and lining both optics up.

    At those close engagement distances windage and elevation adjustments are nil. Also Lucas Botkin is a fast shooter and that's it. His opinion on military weapon tactics is null and void. He has no real world experience. Not sure why they would have even consulted with him.....but it does make sense because it is a videogame and videogame is about speed and the fun.

    one thing i do find kinda flawed about what this guy is saying is in regards to the character pulling out his pistol while on a rappel line. how exactly does this guy expect the character to go down a rappel line with both his hands on a rifle? with those sorts of lines you're supposed to keep a grip on it so you don't fall down. meaning the only firearm the character can use is their pistol. the rifle the main character is using isn't meant to be fired with one hand because the recoil would just knock the gun out of his hand. nevermind that first statement, i have another complaint. "why not just use a second bullet and kill him? why not just pull the trigger one more time?" because the magazine in the gun is empty. you can even see the character reload their rifle. the main critique here should be "why not just pull out your secondary if you're out of ammo? why risk a melee with the enemy when you could just use your pistol?" instead of whatever the hell this guy is yammering about. and yet another complaint. "usually the laser stays on." not always friend. some lasers are set up in a way where they have a pressure pad attached to the gun, so when you push on that pad the laser turns on and when you stop holding this pressure pad the laser turns off.

  • @LethalByChoice

    I said the same thing, that part bothered me. You have to at least have 1 hand on the rope to control the decent. I don't know how he expects the player to climb down and hold the rifle but yeah that was a stupid critique. If you cannot have both hands free and can only have 1 hand free like climbing, you use your pistol. It's kind of common sense.

  • @Wile_E._Wolf

    @Wile_E._Wolf

    You can fire a rifle one-handed, easy. The recoil isn't going to "knock" the gun out of your hand, especially if you have it shouldered. The method used for descent (Aussie rappelling, although we don't call it that) also typically requires you to be belayed in reality, meaning you would have the ability to fire with both hands. It's not his fault COD took some artistic liberties with the technique. The guy fired a round into the back of his leg before the gun went cold. Why not shoot the guy centre mass and avoid the whole situation entirely? He was right to criticise

    @@Wile_E._Wolf i don't think you've ever fired a gun before if you think shooting a Mk 14 EBR one handed is easy on recoil. CoD may take liberties when it comes to realism, but being unable to fire a .308 rifle one handed on a rappel line isn't one of them considering you couldn't do that in real life either. i don't think you were even paid attention to what he said in regards to the leg shot. his criticism was entirely wrong. he didn't criticize where the player was shooting, he was criticizing him not shooting again. he made the wrong kinda judgement and that's what i was pointing out.

    @@frostsoul4199 I've fired plenty of "guns" before, in fact it used to be a big part of my profession. I spent an entire 7 month deployment with a HK417, a 7.62mm (.308). I've not fired an M14 no, but I do know that it's not going to be "knocked out of your hands with recoil". I've seen guys put accurate shots on target in relative quick succession firing 7.62 AKs one handed messing around on the range. His criticisms are valid given the shooter would be belayed with that roping technique anyway, meaning he'd have two free hands to shoulder and fire his primary. Why fire your last round on an unaware enemy at a distance of 5m? I guess again, he was expecting reality (the job he's been brought in to do) and just assumed the shooter wouldn't be so clumsy to waste the last round in the magazine like that

    @@Wile_E._Wolf well if you've fired plenty of 7.62 NATO rifles before, you'd know that the recoil on a MK14 is absurdly harsh compared to other .308 rifles due to its outdated recoil system. also the type of rope system used isn't the kind you're thinking of. it's the type you actually have to hold on to so he would only have one free hand. there's no system that lock onto the rope. it's just a standard metal clamp you can buy from Walmart or Home Depot for like $8. truth be told i'm not entirely sure why he'd waste his last round of his rifle at that close of range but again you're missing the point here entirely.

    I know this is pretty late but I just to say that at one point in Modern Warfare 2019 development days they did have the feature of tilting the gun up/lower it down when come in near-contact with friendly character. When the weapon viewmodel clips into another characters or other assets, it automatically triggers the animations. At one point they even thought about implementing it, but that was quickly proven to be annoying and not all that neccessary, so they scrapted it immediately afterward. I know this because the former Lead Animator of MW2019 (he still works there tho he just got promoted) is quite open about the process of making MW2019, or at least visually, he has a KZread channel. The funny thing is, just a game later, Vanguard's released with this very feature fully fleshed out in the Singlerplayer and Vanguard is a is basically a WW2-themed modded Modern Warfare 2019. It doesn't just run on the exact same engine, it is literally a reskin. So that feature has been in the game codes all this long, ever since the release of the game, they just never enable it. Which is not a bad thing. It'd've been nice feature, but a niche one. Not to mention how many details of this game that we have been appreciating all this long, someone has to put days and nights into that, they didn't really have infinite amount of labour and time.

    I like how technical but also how tough he was with the games and gameplays, i mean i always see this games, i play them and i feel all those things too, and im not a Navy Seal, but sometimes people get confused on what is more "realistic" and whats not, for example "hardcore" players don't use minimaps, but they do those stunts killing someone with knives, or they approach a door from the front, or things like that, i saw many gamers playing this games in a "realistic" way, but thats only with the screen helps off or with the difficulty maxed out but then their way of playing is not realistic at all, like killing only with headshots.

    Around 7:35 I think-the reason he didn’t use another bullet and went for a knife is because he was out. You can see him pull the trigger a second time and a click is the only thing that happens (or the character went into a reloading animation, hard to tell). If he were a little further away, transitioning to secondary probably would’ve been preferable since he had the benefit of darkness. At that range tho, you’re right his position is blown and all the target has to do is turn around and spray. So he closes the distance (looked like maybe three to five yards) and knifes him. Even if the target were facing him, that would’ve been a difficult kill shot to pull off before the guy with the knife was on top of him. But he was not only turned away, he was flinching from having just been shot. At that range, in those circumstances, a knife makes the most sense.

B.You miss judge and a terrorist kills you and your team, and probably killing more innocent people. So if you're thinking about media backlash you can take worse decisions. But yes it sounded like the only backlash on civilian death was media hell.

    I'm surprised he didn't mention that you can't use irons with NVG. NVG's only have a narrow focusing region that you set with a diopter. If you set them close enough to see your handgun sights you won't be able to see anyone at even shorter distances. I suppose with dual eyepiece systems you could have two separate distances set, one close and one far, but you would have a sort oscillating depth of field effect constantly because you brain is fighting to combine the two images.
