Navigation Plotting is an essential skill for working in the maritime industry. This video is an introduction to some of those concepts. If you've spent lots of time on the water, but have not pursued a professional license, you should consider yourself a candidate for an Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) 6-Pack license. This license allows you to charter vessels with up to 6 paying passenger and is the first step to a career in the maritime industry, full-time or part-time!

This is a really an excellent tutorial on chart navigation. I love collecting maps (cartophile, if I may put it that way) and am passionate about manual navigation (using compass + maps for groun navigation) without the aid of an electronic positioning equipment (GPS). Though, I am not a professional or an amateur seafarer, still I wish to learn about this in more detail. Could you please tell me, where I can get the nautical map from, the one like in the video? Also, I would like to know from where one can get latest information on the ocean drifts for a particular location? Thank you again for this excellent and lucid video presentation.
