Oh, great call. This absolutely pairs well with Zelazny's Dream Master

Based on your recommendation, I bought (and finally read) Knight of Delusions (the title was changed from Night of Delusions). I'd really enjoy a video in which you link Dream Master, Hard-Boiled Wonderland, Lathe of Heaven , and whatever other similarly-themed novels you discover. It's a fascinating sub-genre, and a perfect topic for your channel. I've been seriously thinking of doing one myself, inspired by your video(s), but I honestly don't see myself making any videos, at least not for a while (way too busy). I couldn't help wondering if, at least in part, the seed for Total Recall is in it (the phrase even appears); but, of course, this is only in part. (An agent, a fake life, a fake assignment, only nothing about Mars, etc.). I also couldn't help wondering (especially b/c of the time period) if it would have inspired, again, only in part, Dark City, a film I've come to love more than The Matrix. Cheers.

Thanks for watching! Yeah, I felt very confident at the beginning of that thought and halfway through it dawned on me that I didn't quite have the physics of how the dream machine works figured out! Still don't!

Maybe you should read Paprika, yasutaka tsutsui, another dream machine book.
