Navigating the Boiling Pot - Noosa

The Boiling Pot is the heaviest part of the Noosa Points, it's also sometime the most crowded which is dangerous as so many people paddle up the inside on the point hoping to sneak a wave and end up in the way when the sets roll in. Amazing place 50 years ago but today maybe not so.

One of the best breaks when it’s pumping you can catch three different breaks all into one ride , surfed it back in the 80s
Boiling pot is one of the traditional Holy Grails Of Australian surfing. As good as it gets I’ve never seen footage of it with a direct offshore wind.

I prefer people to just stay still, you cant just go round them, when they are panicking for the shoulder they get more in the way.
The best place to go up in surfing since the start of the 70 s. Find great boards at sea arfter cyclone's out on trawler would find old malls they would even play loud beach boys music over the pa you could hear it at first point bloody just remembered i one 2 school surf comps from noosa district high School at cooroy and coming home each day down the old range road from cooroy you could see the points see the pot through Johnson Johnson's first point RIGHT THEN HOME GRAB ONE OF THE BOARDS AND OFF TO THE POINTS NO CROWDS LIKE THESE DAYS OFF Johnstone some times in big swell it would brake out out really wide we surfed the right was short ride going left you go right back into Johnson's TRULY THE BEST POINT BREAK RIDS YOU COULD WISH FOR WAS RATED 3 BEST IN THE WORLD BACK IN THOSE EARLY YEARS just get pissed off with the crowds now a day SIMPLEY THE BEST

The big swell in Jan. Hasn’t been many decent swells since.
Freakn eh the inside is crowded.
