Hi Katie, I found an older version of the Naves Topical Bible at a thrift store. Love it! My version has sorrow, despondency (sadness in olden days, possibly), says see affliction, resignation, sorrow, and suffering. The section on Jesus goes from 654 to 746, on God 90pgs, etc.. Love God as Creator 😊, oh mine is a 1973

This is called a Concordance. They are often included in Study Bibles. Mostly, unfortunately, they are far from complete. This goes for Naves' Topic Bible, too.

Actually, nerding out for a few minutes (and because I only learned this myself recently) I'd like to clarify that concordances and Topical Bibles differ in two important ways. One) A concordance provides the chapter and verse reference(s) for a specific word, then you can look up those references to find the verse(s). A topical bible provides the whole text for every selected reference to that topic, you can read them all in one place. Two) A concordance identifies the occurrences of one specific word; making it necessary for the concordance to match your translation. (A comprehensive concordance covers every single time a word appears in the text and is a large volume in its own right, study bibles obviously can only contain abridged versions.) A topical bible identifies passages related to a whole topic, regardless of the words used. For example, the topic salvation might include passages that refer to Christ's 'redeeming blood' or 'a ransom for many'. Topical bibles cannot be comprehensive because there's no limit to topics. Editorial decisions will always be needed, and the passages selected will also reflect some degree of subjectivity regarding what is or isn't relevant to the topic. They're both great tools, but they do accomplish different things depending on your bible study goals.

I agree about having printed copies of resources that we'd want/need in grid-down situations, for whatever reason. An additional reason, is that I can't write a pencil note on someone else's virtual information. I was fortunate to find a Naves Topical Bible at a used bookstore a few years ago. Don't know when it was printed. All the applicable page shows is that it was printed in the USA by the Moody Press. There are no revision notes on the title page. Other books I've found at the same source is a Thompson Chain Reference Bible (1964) and Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible (1969). Mentioned those, because used book sources can be a treasure. Especially for the older and less revised versions of publications. (If I'm home canning foods, I want the latest information on safety. If I want to know what an author, in this case Orville Nave had to say, I don't want to read not what someone else thought he should have said or wanting a new copyright of his works.) Thank you for sharing. May you and yours have a blessed Christmas and New Year.
